Most devastating loss?

Basically what's your most devastating loss? For me it was when I was at the waterfalls and there were three chocobos, an oracle (with a gun), a squid demon and a flying demon. The chocobos kept using choco cure and running away when low on health, the oracle kept blinding and setting fire on everyone. After about 30 minutes they managed to box in 3 of the remaining characters, and well you can pretty much guess what happened. And I was pretty peeved off as well, my Knight Agnes was pulling in 40Jp per action (thanks to Jp Up or whatever it's called) and everyone else was leveling up like crazy.

Losing one of my best generics in the battle on the roof of Riovanes castle against who's-his-face and the two chicks. Kept getting beat over and over again, most times with little I could do, and the time I do win, one of my best guys crystallizes the turn before it's over. I had no choice but to accept the loss and move on, but it still sucked.

No matter how many times I've lost at Riovanes or Deep Dungeon, nothing ever comes close to rivaling the losses sustained at Finath River. Thinking about how many times I've reset in the hopes that one of the red chocobos will turn into a regular brings back painful memories. Still the worst regular battle situation in my book.

Ditto on Finath River. At least the crazy Bariaus Hill battles look like you should lose them -- Finath has you losing to the illegitimate offspring of an ostrich and a chicken. Repeatedly.

The most devastating loss is the fight against Wiegraf/Velius...no matter what ,I was too slow and weak for beating him, and when I did miraclously with my chemist, I suffered Velius`s Clops summon, was so bad I had to begin again the whole game, I got too many devastating losses but this the Most I have.

My loss.... i fought Elmdor and his ladies got his masamune lurned ultima killed his laide about to kill him. And then!. Orlando turned into a crystal.....

I got in a fight with five living bones and an oracle. The oracle kept using zombie on eveyone and i didn't have a chemist or a white mage to use against the living dead. I lost Agrias, Cloud, and Mustadio before finally losing Ramza.

I always seem to lose one of my elite troops when I go to the roof with elmdor. I really don't know why...
