Just before ascending to the Floating Continent for the first time, I took my party swimming in the Serpent trench to teach my pet moogle the water dance. Now, I'm stuck on the west continent, when my airship is on the east continent. How do I leave the west continent without an airship?

I can help you, because the whole area is accessable by following Sabin's scenario course, if that doesn't help tell me exactly where you are.

As I recall, the passage near Nikeah that was once blocked by rocks is now clear. You can also take a ferry. Something to that effect.

Yeah, if I remember correctly, you should be able to access Barren Falls by walking from Nikeah. Leap off and you'll end up on the Veldt, north of the Blackjack.

Too bad I usually (yet unintentionally) take the longest route possible via the Lete River. I know that particular course like the back of my left hand!

Here's the way it connects, in case any of the above wasn't clear.

I assume you left the airship on the Veldt. Now you're in Nikeah. So, what you can do is walk from Nikeah east to the old crazy guy's house (where you first started Sabin's scenario.) Then, you walk south past the Imperial Camp, kind of east or south (can't remember which) into the Phantom Forest, go through that (luckily you won't have to ride the train again,) come out at the bottom of the forest, go east and then north to get to Baren Falls, jump off, and voila! You're back on the Veldt, minus those 15 or some minutes of your life. Can you tell I was not fond of the tediousness of getting Water Rondo? But it's such a good dance for my favorite character, that I couldn't NOT do it!

Isn't it great to have a problem in a game other than I don't have enough money, or I can't beat this boss, etc. To actually get lost on a continent and have to figure out a way off again, ah there's nothing like it!

Let me clarify: I'm stuck in Narshe and everything accessible from there. The serpent trench dumped me in South Figaro.

the above is correct, but how did the serpant trench dump you in south figaro?! it always goes to Nikeah for me! Maybe you took a boat to South Figaro afterward from Nikeah......

weird..... that's an interesting mystery, but yeah just follow the original path....its long, but its pretty easy! happy.gif

OK. Here's what I'm missing... sorry to be so difficult.

When I first took the raft, IIRC it was a scripted entry... there was no door to take. How do I get to the raft from the Returner's hideout?

It's probably something really dumb i'm missing, but I can't find it anywhere.

Banon's room, press against the southern wall (his room is the large one on the east side with a save point).

And I wouldn't say you're being difficult as it is the lag time between posts. I keep thinking you've solved this already. tongue.gif
