I dunno if anyone's keeping track, but today I stumbled across yet another random battle that gave treasure upon completion. I was in chapter 3, heading toward Riovanes, and I ran into a fight in Araguay Woods against 3 Malboros, 1 Bone Snatch, and 1 Female Archer, and came away from the battle holding a precious, precious high potion. Interesting, because the only other times I've ever got anything from a random was in ch. 4.

Random battles don't often leave spoils, and when they do it's often as bad as your hi-potion there. It's too bad you don't "happen upon" a rare lance or armor as spoils, because that would actually be a good way to get more than one unique piece of equipment while fending off the dupers.

I was one on the Volcano level once and an archer dropped an Ultimus Bow. Beat that!

Nothing really special about this one. You have a 50 % chance of getting a treasure chest, and high level Archer are all equipped with Ultimus Bow. But I think that you misunderstood what Trismegistus meant: he talked about treasures obtained after battle, not in-battle.

Of that matter, I received a High Potion once too. Really weird...

I particulary Did not believe that ramdom encounter give you battle awards, but I once received a hi-potion too after a near-end game battle... thumbup.gif , but only once in my life, and I played the game about 2 times.

One time I believe I had either two phoenix down, or phoenix and hi-potion. Two spoils, whoopee.

One of the archers in VOYAGE drops a Yoichi Bow, but it's a much better idea to steal it beforehand. happy.gif

I really don't see the point in getting battle spoils when you have millions upon millions of gil. To me, that imbalance is reason enough for the rarity of item finds. I can imagine Ramza kicking aside cheap items he finds after battle and walking away to get some of use.
