Alpha- The core is the same as the Redwings, and i don't believe passing works that way.
Heres an easy sort of one. Each fiend of elements has an attack pattern. Name the attack pattern for each one. For Kainazzno use his undisturbed/ uninjure one, and for Valvalis just list what happens after she is hit by jump. -------------------- If you've been mod-o-fied, It's an illusion, and you're in-between. Need to kickstart this one I guess... Not a particularly difficult question I don't think, just one to get the thread back going-
There is an item in the game that automatically Berserks the chararcter that has it equipped. What is it and what are the 2 ways to get one? |

Okay, here's the answer to the question. You're talking about the sword called Beserker, when equiped your character goes automaicly into the Beserk Status. As for how to get one, I've only gotten it from a chest in a chest from the Sylvan Caves. However since there are enemies in some of those chests, I'd have to say its also an item drop too. I have no idea from what though, that parts just a guess.

Sword is the Avenger (both versions), it's found in the Slyvan Cave chest, but there's still another way to get one that hasn't been named yet

Clarification on the phrasing of the question:
An enemy that yields the item 'Alert' after a fight or An enemy that uses the Alert action in battle? The "yield the spoil Alert" phrase has me unsure of what you mean. |

An enemy that yields the item 'Alert' after a fight is what I meant. Was slightly confusing now that I read it myself. Having a bad day... ugh.
EDIT: My mistake, the item is called "Alarm" and not "Alert". Hope you can answer now. This post has been edited by Racthoh on 17th March 2005 08:21 -------------------- This is my world: (Got my second chapter up, 3rd Chapter about 80% complete) http://www3.sympatico.ca/daniel876/homepage.html |

Well, now I feel silly in asking for a clarification and then not being able to answer- my emulator version has no such Alert items... Now if it were the other question, that would have been fun. Though I still wouldn't know the answer. -ahem-

It's been so long since I've played FFIV that not only do I not remember what a 'last arm' is, but I don't even remember what the alarm item does o.o
Still, I'll guess that's it's on of those floaty eye guys in the tower of Zot. (Strangely enough, I think the attack/ability the use is called alert o.o) -------------------- Link: "What is it?" Exactly none. They're both 3'0. Or at least so says the CoN info, which I trust to be accurate. Shove it up for grabs if it's right.

alphasmart's got it. My only scorce for such info is the CoN character discriptions myself and I trust that. Well that and they are near identical twins anyway, save for gender. I love semi sorta trick questions.

Contrary to what I said earlier, I will take the question as I have a good 'un:
Exactly what does the status effects "D" and "petrify" do? Give as full an answer as possible. -------------------- "Fire and steel follow me through the lands you will burn hordes of hell in the deadly raging flames of revenge" Rhapsody - Flames of Revenge |

I would guess that "Petrify" would live up to its name and petrify a person, resulting in their petrification during battle where they are unable to take a turn or attack.
"D" could either mean death or Doom (Death meaning they are dead) -------------------- <DrkMagimaster282> MWAHAHA. As I remember, D stands for a kind of 'partial petrification'--see, when an enemy uses the skill Petrify on a character, the character doesn't become stone immediately, but rather takes 3 stages to become stone. 'D' stands for either the first or second stage, when the character is colored grey 1/3 or 2/3 of the way up the sprite, respectively.
'Petrify' as a status refers to being completely stoned. As an enemy skill it refers to the skill whose effects I described above.
