I can't find the chaos Blade! I looked at the coordinates that were on the walkthrough portion of the Deep Dungeon, and it wasn't there! I searched the whole map and still couldn't find it!

HELP!?

On the top 3x3 platform (the highest point on the map), I think its in the lower left corner. Either way, it's one of those 9 squares.

Actually, the 4 buried treasures of the map are all in the four corners of the topmost platform (which is in fact a 3x3 square as Shinjutsei said).

Maybe it's not finding the blade that's your problem then. Although I never got to this part of the game and have never gotten the Chaos Blade myself, I'd like to say that there's a chance that you might get more then one differnt item from the same tile with "Move-Find Item". This is based on Brave and the lower your "Move-Find Item" user's brave is the better they are for treasure hunting usually. For ths reason, Rafa makes a good treasure hunter because she has a very low brave when you first get her. I know it isn't much but I hope that helps you somewhat.

Did you by chance find a phoenix down instead? Because if you did... then hope the ninjas in "voyage" (I believe) throw them and you have catch set.

Close enough: ninjas are found in Horror inside the Deep Dungeon

But very valid point on the Phoenix Down thing: if you did get one instead of the Chaos Blade or Chirijiraden, and saved afterwards, you can't get it again, save by the use of Catch. Use the Search function of the site if you want more information on how this thing works.

I didn't find ANYTHING! Not even a trap or a phoenix down! If I had, I would had found comfort in that and reset the game and tried again.

well, if you`re not founding anything is because you forgot to have "move-find" ability....if not don`t trust the coordinates you got ,because in somes pages, the initial value (x,y) is count a (0,0) the first square or (1,1), also the coordinates can be mirrored, I don`t know how exactly some folks read it....if that is the case the "Y" value is normal,the "X" is reversed...count from the cartesian axis -X, for the X values, and Y, for "Y" values...if not believe is there somewhere...but if you happen to found a phoenix down, and then defeat Elidibs, and going back to "END" you lose forever the Chaos Blade (from that location), well that`s what I can think off...luck ,boy

well i however have two chaos blades.so thres still hope for you. so lets see if i wher you i'd get beowolf to use chicken on you're move finder so it's brave Lv. is about 20 or less.and if i remember its actuly right where Elidibs was standing when you first come in. so just kill the bastard and go back. walk around with chicken finder guy and hope for the best so good luck. and if that doesn't work theres something really wrong with you game. so just go to HORROR and catch anything that moves.

1. I did have the move find ability.

2. my brave on my 2! People is around 25-30.

3. I caught a chaos blade. I just need the samuri sword.

4. The chaos blade rocks! 40 attack with the status effect "Petrify"!

5. I still haven't found the samuri sword, and I checked end again (while fighting edilibs) so there!

Well anything you miss (with the exception of Masamune) can be caught in horror. I never knew you could even find items in End.

Even Masamune can be caught. But you need a rare combination of throw skills to set it up, and a Ninja at a specific level, otherwise he/she will throw something more powerful.

man!! i tried forever to catch one of thoughs iv'e cought ragnuroks and choas blades and whale whiskers and stuff. but iv'e never even seen a masamune!. i wan't one i'm too scared to use the one i have!

Like I said,what the Ninjas will throw depends on three rules:
1) they will throw the most powerful weapon they have access to
2) they can only throw weapons for which they have the corresponding Throw skill (logica...l)
3) their level determine what weapon they have access to, in the exact same way any unit's equipment is determined (a Lvl 1 Knight will come equipped with a Broad Sword, while a Lvl 99 Knight will come equipped with a Rune blade). Only advantage of the Ninjas (and that's why the catch ability is so usefull) is that they are not limited in term of accessible equipment to throw (technically, a Lvl 99 Knight should have access to the Chaos Blade, but there is a "limiter" of some sort that prevents that specific thing to happen; this "limiter" doesn't apply to the throw ability).

There you go. The only problem is to find a Ninja with the Katana throw skill, the correct level for him to throw Masamune and not Chirijiraden (remember rule 1), and hope that he doesn't have access to a Throw skill that will permit him to throw a more powerful weapon (Flail comes to mind: the Scorpion Tail was very oftenly thrown at me...).

Yes The Masamune is indeed a great and *Rare item you can steal from Elmdor. and actually the other items you can steal are the genji equipment. witch are ofcourse legend. next time i play i'm going to get though's for sure and so should you. and ach knight if you ever need anymore help all you have to do is ask.

Although all three can be hard to get, you could try catching the three special Ninja Swords: Sasuke Knife, Iga Knife and Koga Knife (only other way for the Sasuke Knife id that one shot battle at Nelveska Templ, and you already have two rare equipments to dig up there, so it's a good idea to try and get one).

A Javelin II also comes to mind, if you're into raw power. Other than that, you already have covered the main stuff.

and of corse the cool stuff you can get from pouching. still there isn't that many weapons you can get aside from the stone gun and holy lance. but the items are sweet. and yes i have had a koga knife thown at me. but not sasuke knife or iga knife. any questions?.

If they aren't limited to what they can throw, then are they limited to the QUANTITY that they can throw? For example, if I were to wait out the battle and catch 99 Chirijiraidens, would they start throwing Masamunes?

Although I guess the only way to test this theory would be to sit there and count out 99 catches...

I've never been able to catch ninety-nine of an item in-battle. When an enemy arises who throws items that I would want to catch (Save the Queens, Ragnaroks, etc.), after 4-10 successful catches, it reverts to something else. This could mean other weapons that I would want to catch or back to shurikens and balls, which it usually stays at thereafter.

I'd hate to say prematurely that enemy ninja have set inventories, but I've never tried to drain an enemy's, so I won't try to say anything definate.

I don't believe Ninjas have preset inventories. The change in their throwing probably has something to do with them leveling up, therefore having access to a higher level weapon.

Some tricks can be used to have a greater control over this aspect of catching: a Mindflayer can level down some ninjas, and a good thief with Blade Grasp and 100 Brave (you don't want him to get hurt by ninjas...) can keep them at the same level with Steal Exp.

I don't know how I am supposed to get the stone gun and the sasuke knife.

How do I do it?

Stone Gun can't be caught: you can either poach it from the Dark Behemoth or steal it from the Chemist/Mediator rare party battle at Germinas Peak (poaching is more reliable though).

For Sasuke Knife, you can either do the rare battle at Nelveska temple and Move-Find it there, or try your way with the ninjas (first option is more reliable again).

The stone gun. is that any good? i mean i've poached my share of Dark Behemoth's and iv'e never even seen one. all i ever got was a hundred or so wizard rods.and do you know where i can find a Hydra?

The stone gun is very strong, however you begin each combat petrified.

You can find Hydras in End and Horror I believe.

I find the Stone Gun to be cumbersome to use. When you enter battle with it equipped, you're automatically in a state of petrification. It's not hard to remove the status, but it's the wasted time that does it for me. Stat-wise, it's got an attack power of 16, which pales in comparison to the other guns', but it easier to get somewhat. You can steal Stone Guns from the enemies in the Germinas Hill rare battle, provided you unpetrify the enemy first.

Hydras can be found at the Bariaus Hill rare battle, VOYAGE, END, and BRIDGE. You can find the sorts occassionally in TIGER, but I don't remember if they're all Tiamats or Hyudras...

END is your best bet.
