I guess it's true, you technically need him, but otherwise, kill him. I always had my theories concernign Bannon. I believe he actually worked for the Empire. He just was always suspicious and whenever he'd come into view, things would go wrong.....He only hindered the whole thing......

I was gonna vote to kill'em, but the free healing is always nice. Plus I've never had him die on my game so I couldn't care either way.

Keep him. Though he was a little rash, he never meant anyone any harm. Er, except the Empire. Still, he seemed alright.

I would have voted to keep him if he would always automatically remember to put himself in the back row.

Banon was in Vector before the end of the WoB right? I'm sure he was sucked in with the rest and became that Inferno boss in the Tower of Kefka.

He never really impressed me too much. Yeah, he had free healing, but it was never enough to make a huge difference, and would become even more obsolete as max HPs went higher. Maybe if he'd had an additional skill, like powerful with a club (along the lines of a cleric, maybe?), then he'd have some redeeming value. But as he stands so far, no.

I wouldn't really say that Banon is cool, but he certainly is helpful. We couldn't have made it through that one part without the old Health Nut (I call him the health nut because that's all he's really useful with). Plus, there's really no point to killing him and I can't support pointless killing. You have to have a good reason. I could go on with plenty of reasons why people need to be killed but well, I don't want to sound too cynical.

Killing him has no point, because he is helpful with his Health, I found annoying the fact he can be KO`d, but after then he eventually die in the WoR or turn his hair grey and become Duncan...I don`t mind if he die or not.

I went with you needed him in the game, but if not, kill him.
How he was made leader of the Returners, I don't know, because if they're weaker then him, well, how they lasted so long is a mystery. He's made too important, if he dies, game over. It isn't like you could use a Phoenix Down on him. He just gets annoying for that fact, and that he could have just brought a Returner as a human shield for Ultros' attacks. -------------------- Could you repeat that? |

Maybe he was promoted to Lead Returner after vanquishing a horde of undead enemies, during a time when the Returner Hideout contained an unblockable tunnel leading to Silent Hill or something. With his "Health" command, he was probably quite the warrior. Unfortunately, due to the living enemies along the Lete River, he can no longer heal the monsters to death and thus his offensive power has plummeted to that of a sock.
[/Insta-backstory] Anyways, if it weren't for him nudging his way into your party, no one'd notice him anyway. Banon wasn't a bad guy at all, right when you get him, put him in the back row, and you shouldn't have any problems unless you're on expert version 2, dang you i90... the pterodactyl things can do this attack that just whipes out any player, and they often chose banon. That was just kinda luck of the draw, other then that your characters should be good.

As to how he became leader of the Returners: he's probably a good leader and strategist (er...correct spelling?), not necessarily the strongest warrior.

I voted to KILL HIM!! Why is he even in the game? You hardly see him, you really hardly play as him, his healling skill stinks, and every time you are near him in battle, if he dies you lose the game. So, save the trouble of protecting him and kill him. Then, he will be protected from death for all eternity!
