This may sound like a stupid question, but I'm suffering from sleep-deprivation right now, so bear with me...
If Final Fantasy Tactics were to be re-made, and you were doing the re-making, who and how would you put the focus of the story on? Would you change iit at all? Before giving my answer or ending my post, let me explain some of my choices... Would you follow Delita's path to the crown or even reigning as the King? Ovelia as the Queen or anytime during the game from a different perspective? Or one of the enemies with a justified reason for evil-doing? Vormav's quest to revive St. Ajora? A new, unique quest while playing Elmdor searching for the Masamune and Genji equipment? Maybe playing a part of the story during the 50-Year War as Orlandu or Balbanes. Or someone that I am overlooking? Let me know your thoughts. I, personally, would like to play Balbanes as the hero of a re-made FF Tactics story... "You've met Ramza, now get to know his father!" or something like that. -------------------- "Thought I was dead, eh? Not until I fulfill my dream!" I might enjoy a secret mode letting you experience some the battles that Wiegraf would have faced. Or maybe Delita. Or maybe

I picked Elmdor because I always thought that he was a cool character (that, and my love of the Arc Knight class). Wiegraf would be another cool one because you could play the game from the side that opposes Ramza instead of playing as him. Balbanes would be awesome too; playing through the 50-Year War sounds great.

So, to clarify, the game's new focus would not follow Ramza but someone else i.e., what's known about Ramza would never be known to others besides meetings and confrontations?
Hmm, interesting. I'd usually pick Delita because I would really like to know how he took himself up from the pavement and began down the road to royalty, but I would really like to see the backstory of Wiegraf (ex-50-Year-War vet, Death Corp leader, etc.) given life. Or Beowulf could have his plights shown in-game, but Wiegraf's tale is a bit more intriguing. -------------------- It's gonna be a glorious day I feel my luck can change |

Seeing how Balbanes led the 50 year war would be a very interesting gameplay indeed.

My vote sort of fits in with the first option, in the sense that it's as good as it's going to get, though not perfect by any means. Square does a pretty good job of making sure the story revolves around the hero, and it wouldn't work any other way. -------------------- "I had to write four novels before they let me write comic books." -Brad Meltzer |

Delita is one of the most interesting characters in the game. I think he'd be the perfect alternative "hero".

I wouldn't mind knowing what happens to Wiegraf after his defeat, and how he came about joining the Shrine Knights.

It'd be cool to see Wiegraf's plight. His story seems even more twisted and tied than any other character.

I'd like to know the story behind the underground cloning project that produces mute generics.
But since that's likely to be a boring adventure with very little dialogue, I'd go with either Wiegraf or Balbanes. Probably Wiegraf... -------------------- Words of Wisdom: If something can go wrong, it will. If anything simply cannot go wrong, it will anyway. A sequal could easily be done from Balbanes' point of view. There are so little intimate details mentioned about the 50-year war they could make up an entire new tale of political intrigue and deceit that made Tactics' story so compelling.

I, for one, would love to play as Elmdor. However, I have to go with Wiegraf, since his story is one which I'd seriously like to explore further. I've got many unanswered questions about Wiegraf, and being able to play through his story would be pretty enjoyable.

Playing Delita would be awsome because you'd get to see all the scenes of how he ended up working for the priest dude.

I really don't know who i'd be. but it's such an awesome game so it whould be cool tobe anyone other then a sqiure with Ultima as his only cool thing.
But i guess it whould be pretty cool only problem is most of the other characters die!. -------------------- "You know that feeling you get when you're on a merry go 'round, and you want to jump off to make the spinning stop, but you know it'll suck when you land?
