I missed a Mario question? I MISSED A MARIO QUESTION!? (Curls up into a ball . . ) tongue.gif

Seriously though SF, the answer is simple Snow Muffler and I think it's Umaro's own fur that acts as it. You know, now that I think about it, that might've been what happened to the Moogles in Narshe . . . eh.gif

Whoops. I always thought that there weren't any helmets that provided elemental defenses, but I suppose I was wrong.

In any case, Silverfork got the question.

Darn. Can't think of a good one at the moment. Up for grabs, then.

I'll give this a try. It could be fun.

Please name ALL of the enemy bosses with different theme music than the song that plays for typical bosses (for example, Whelk, Vargas, etc.), and where these enemy bosses are located.

Vargas - Mt. Kolts (he actually does have different music once Sabin arrives)
Rizopas - Barren Falls (regular enemy music)
Ultros - Opera House (I remember it being some uptempo track)
Ultros - Esper's Cave (Relm's Theme)
Kefka - Thamasa (regular enemy music)
Atma Weapon - Floating Continent (ominous track)
Tritoch - Narshe (Esper's Theme)
Atma - Kefka's Tower (ominous track)
Poltergeist - Kefka's Tower (ominous track)
Goddess - Kefka's Tower (ominous track)
Doom - Kefka's Tower (ominous track)
Kefka (final form) & 3 tiers - Kefka's Tower (Dancing Mad)

Did I miss any?

I believe you have one too many, in fact. The second Atma monster, in Kefka's Tower, noticeably doesn't have the AtmaWeapon battle theme.

Even if I'm right, though, I'll pass it onto KefkaLives if he's right for all the other tracks, or whoever else gets it right.

KefkaLives, that is the correct answer! And Glenn was right as well ... I was surprised to find, on my first runthrough of the game, that the Kefka's Tower Atma does not have the ominous theme.

Battling Tritoch to that ... theme (I'm not sure what it is, but it plays in the WOR overworld before you get the airship) is just ... eerie.

You're up, KefkaLives!

Cooooooooool.

On the floating continent, you have the option of waiting for Shadow. Doing so, normally, will allow him to rejoin your party.

However, if you reach the end of the board after the timer has fallen to a certain time, waiting for him results in your death. What time does the timer have to fall to for this to happen?

I'm guessing that if you choose to wait when there's 4 seconds left or less, you'll die because shadow will appear as soon as the timer hits 4 seconds (if you've chosen to wait before then).

If I got it, its up for grabs.

Keith's heart is in the right place, but I'm fairly certain it's five seconds...

Laszlow is correct. If you get to the end of the Floating Continent when the timer is at five seconds or less, and then wait for Shadow, you die.

I did this my first time through, and was like "WTF...next time I'm not waiting," only to learn about having to get there BEFORE the timer is down to five seconds. And THAT, my friends, is why I didn't have my then favorite character in the WoR. mad.gif

Anyyyyyway....Laszlow is up.

Crap. I had a feeling I was wrong about that track too. I said "Esper's Theme" but something told me that wasn't right. Well, whatever.

EDIT: That track is called "Dark World," BTW.
SECOND EDIT: Sorry for double post.

I believe you are talking about the passage in the Ancient Castle that leads to the Blue Dragon, and also the statue of the queen (whose tears change Odin to Raiden).

So ... you are either talking about the magicite of Crusader (if the Blue Dragon is the last of the eight) or the magicite of Raiden.

EDIT: If I'm correct, I place the next question up for grabs. thumbup.gif

Actually, I believe he's talking about the Safety Bit and Air Anchor in the Fanatics' Tower.

Eh, why not. This should be an easy one.

What's the one place in the game where you can hear the "Game Over" music (y'know, the music that plays when you lose a battle and you have to restart from the last save) without actually getting game over?

One I finally know! I had to relisten to the Game Over music, and it triggered the answer in my brain. When you solve "The World is Square" puzzle in Daryl's Tomb, the game over music plays.

May I comment on that? The first time I solved that puzzle, I already knew where the Exp. Egg was, but I figured it would be fun to solve the puzzle. When the "GAME OVER" music started playing, my heart about stopped. I was expecting the screen to go black and my character to collapse. That was such a mean trick for Square ...

Okay, I hope this will be all right as a question.

How many Espers were also Summon Monsters in Final Fantasy 2 (AKA FF4), and what are their names?

Ouch, head scratcher. I'll probably miss one but here are my guesses going by the FF II (us) names

Bahamut = Bahamut (Baham in the Summons menu)
Odin = Odin
Ifrit = Jinn (This is debated but they look simmilar enough for me)
Shiva = Shiva
Rahmah = Indra? (I'm not sure about that but I remember them both being lightining elemental)

There are other FF IV summons that appear in FF VI but they aren't espers so they wouldn't count. Well, unless I missed one that is. If I'm right, the next question is up for grabs.

Edit
Wow, I made the first post on page 50. What an honor.

ff6 summon = ff4 summon

Bahamut = baham
Ifrit = Ifrit (4j), Jinn (2us)
Ramuh = Ramuh (4j), Indra (2us)
Shiva = shiva
Odin = odin

as usual, if I'm right it's up for grabs

I meant with the exact same name. But, Tonepoet did list the correct 3 (Shiva, Bahamut, Odin), he (she?) gets the question.

I wouldn't count Indra or Jinn. But they are essentially the same creatures.

Well, I've got nothing so like I said in my answering post, the next question is free to take for whomever has one. As for how you guys should refer to me, just call me Gogo tongue.gif . Truthfully, I'm somewhat secretive about my personal info. Yeah, I'm strange like that.
