a question that's been bugging for some time has finally made its way here.
on BoF2, can anybody tell me the wording for the St. Eva motto thingy? I could find it out myself, but my game's broken and anyway I had no saves near where you can find it out as it's quite late in the game.

anybody help?

It's Evans, and you know that because the holy book (or something like that) item's description says "Book of Evans."

Not that I remember what it is or anything, but I believe what he wants is the phrase(s) that you have to recite in order to get into the grand chapel. If I'm right, then I'll take a browse on the net for the answer.

Mario: "It's coin, what the hell does it look like?"
Link: "Well.... What do you do with it?"
Mario: "You buy lives with them."
Link: ".... Isn't that slavery?"

just what I'm thinking of. I think the first line goes:

"people in the darkness, pass the time and place"

but I can't think of the other lines.

You're partly right. The guard asks your party (the rebels you are helping out, or words to that effect) some kind of "pledge of allegiance" phrase, but he ends up just asking Ryu what God's name is, and it's Evans. If you want the whole motto thing, look for a script, I have no clue.

I tried looking for a script; didn't work as breath of fire isn't quite as popular as the ff series as far as I could tell...
