Not bad, actually learned a thing or two from that. Just one thing...
2- Use the same method as above but use Cat's bell to help you. This isn't such a great method because when you are walking your HP can only increase to a pair number, and 7777 isn't. Why even mention it if it doesn't work? Seems like unecessary filler material. "Well yeah, you could do 'x', but it doesn't work, so you can't." -------------------- "Judge not a man by his thoughts and words, but by the quality and quantity of liquor in his possession and the likelyhood of him sharing." |

The second method is for the ones who owns a cat's bell and the first if you don't
The only advantage I found with cat's bell is that you will not have to take 20+ hits (wich is pretty long) until the 2 last digits are 77 Use my Method (the third one), It's super fast ![]() This post has been edited by Zodiac on 18th February 2005 02:33 -------------------- Sayonara |

A little known fact is that enemies can go into Lucky Seven mode. They won't go into a long string of attacks like the controllable characters, instead continuing to attack in their normal patterns, but with a magnitude of 7,777 HP damage/healing:

Wow that's weird, I think I will have to do some testing.
Update: The 64 hits of 7777 can only happen once per battle, but you can still go in 7777 mode with your character anytime you want. -------------------- Sayonara |

In case anyone is not clear about the operation of the cat's bell: it will increase your hp to an even number by adding 1hp if it is not already even, then it will add 2hp per step. That is why it is uselessfor this trick. Deliberate by square, or accident at our misfortune?

Quote Just take your basic HP Example 5636 then remove 1/100 at each time where is 56.36 here. 5636 - 56.36 = 5579,64 5579,64 - 56,36 = 5523,28 5523,28 - 56,26 = 5466,92 5466,92 - 56,36 = .... etc. to know what is the right number, just fall on ??76,?? or ??77 This means your last digits must be equal or smaller than 77 as long as bigger than 76. now take that number, divide it by your maximum HP and it will give you a %, reverse it example (34% to 66%) so that it's the amount of HP you have to reduce. Example 5636HP Max 3776,12 Found 3776,12/5336 = 0,67 or 67% of Total HP Reverse = -33% HP to achieve Use potions and that's it! You will also have to equip HP Pluses here in order to get Max HP higher or equal to 7777 in some cases This works extremely frequently. I really need you help to test strange stuff too. Could any one be able to test All Lucky 7s berserk Mode on the giant Sea Serpent at junon? I think phisical attacks can't reach it at the begenning of the battle. I want to know what will happen. If you know any other please tell me. Tanks for your coorporation everyone! i wish I could update this little FAQ more... Easily overlooked is the Chocobuckle's ability to do damage equal to the number of battles you've escaped from.
If you don't follow, you have an attack that does as many HP damage as you want at your disposal. If you still don't follow, you're pretty dumb. Imagine 1,111 damage used 3x against a character with 9,999 HP. There you go. -------------------- "Judge not a man by his thoughts and words, but by the quality and quantity of liquor in his possession and the likelyhood of him sharing." |

If you have the patience to build it up that high (1,111... or 2,222!) then you're ensured of being able to use the lucky 7 every battle. Yeah thanks,
I'll also add equipping 2 Materias as well as with 9999HP against Emerald weapon's Air Tam Storm. I also have to know if Gargoyles of Northen Crater will take either 7777 or 0 damage at the begenning of the battle because they are petrified. Can anyone confirm this? Edit Oh and caould anyone also test Diamond Weapon Physical Invulnerability? not sure if it works against All Lucky 7s... Taken straight from the enemy AI script, these guys get two flags turned on at the beginning of the fight, in their setup phase: Physical Immunity and Magical Immunity.
For the record, the game has 2 gargoyle enemies: the rock version (always immune, counters Soft by killing itself, and counters non-physical attacks then turns into the other version) and the flesh version (which we all know.) Since the battle ALWAYS begins with the rock version and since they set the immunity flags during their setup phase, NOTHING can damage them (save for a soft.) As far as I know, there is no special property when using Lucky 7777; your characters just attack physically but the attack is defense-ignoring and set to 7777. Since this isn't a matter of defense, this should be irrelevant, and it should still be considered just a regular physical attack. I could be wrong on that point. -------------------- "Judge not a man by his thoughts and words, but by the quality and quantity of liquor in his possession and the likelyhood of him sharing." |

Actually, Ruby weapon is not only immune to physical & magical at the begenning of the batlle... it really includes everything. And not having tested Diamond Weapon yet even If I got a save right there on my memory card for for Diamond Weapon painful Death, nothing proves All Lucky 7s berserk Mode 64 attack are even physical at all.
This goes for Almost all summon, such as KOTR which pierces all defenses, it is neither Physical or Magical. Until then... nothing is guaranteed and have to wait for my friend to give me back my 2nd CD why he's not even playing with!! I tested Gargoyles and Magic Pots. The two of them were Immune to it but and extraordinary strange glitch happened. Being well prepared with Cid having 7677 HP, I entered a battle agaisnt 2 Magic pots, the first on facing Yuffie which was alone and the other one facing Cloud & Cid, I gave Cid a potion (7677 -->7777) for the test, and his first target was randomly chosen to be the one facing Yuffie. The magic pot death animation had taken place after a single hit... 0 damage..., even if that magic pot didn't turn around to see whom killed him... Wow, never tought a 0HP damage would kill an invinsible magic pot. This is really wierd. then Cid attacked the other magic pot 63 times and nothing happened at all. Isn't that wierd stuff? This hapenned this morning while I was calculating Critical Rate at 255 luck... This post has been edited by Zodiac on 1st May 2005 16:28 -------------------- Sayonara |

I'm sorry for double Posting but I don't think people would go read an old thread to see if there was any updates lately.
I have been doing Major updates today. Diamond Weapon has been confirmed to be totally Immune to AL7sBM, being the only Enemy in the game that AL7sBM has no possibility of hurting. (magic pots become vulnerable after being gift an elixer, ruby after putting in his tentacles, but nothing is there for Diamond Weapon). I finished the Limits Section, Inlcuing every attacks in some limits such as "Slots" and Vincent's Limits. I have also added a huge section about how reaching 7777 as max HP using a precalculated number in the chart to attain it. Again... Added a new section in place of Non-7 Stuff because I tought finally taht it was totally unrelated and useless. The section is called 7777HP Battle Sq. It is talking about aspects of having 7777HP in the battle Square. My Faq will now be heading in GameFaqs... because v1.0 is now finished Give me feedback please, this is my first FAQ written ever. ![]() -------------------- Sayonara |

Thanks for givng us a tip top guide, which gives us the opportunity to not need knights of the round! Maybe you could squash your guide up a bit though.
because with a list like this it's a tad annoying. I recommend editing it and making it slightly more readable. Apart from that... good stuff! ![]() -------------------- 'Let that be a lesson to all oppressive vegetable sellers.' |
