From the man who brought you the 'your team' topic, now brings you the 'your time' topic! (Snappy titles, huh?)

I finally tracked down the trailer for FF7, and while I was watching it it said that FF7 had over 100 hours of gameplay. I don't doubt this, but my question is this: How long do you spend on the game?

Start to finish, getting everything you can (or everything there is) how long does it take you.

I've done basically everything, save for beating Emerald and Ruby. My time is around 70 hours o.o Not my proudest time, but meh.... It's there.

So, how bout the rest of you?

I don't think that I've ever tried to see the quickest I could beat the game with everything. But, as far as there being 100 hrs.+ gameplay. I suppose that there is. I'm well past that, but I waste a lot of time and I've gotten sources, etc.

Yes if you want to max character stats and breed chocobos, 100 hours can be wasted easily. i've maxed the timer out on 3 or 4 play throughs of the game.

On 1 of my games I took the time to get each character of the team their own set of master materia, I more than maxed Cloud's stats (the numbers displayed stop at 255 but their stats can keep going up) in additon to some of the other characters stats, and I had multiple golden chocobos.

Course by that time Cloud was able to take down Ruby and Emerald by himself. And I wasn't using the Hades trick on Ruby either. That fight took FOREVER.

So I guess my answer would be I never timed myself. It was always too much fun to worry about how long it was taking. I believe my first time through I beat Emerald and Ruby around 80 hours, but I'm pretty sure it was just something I did not something I was actively trying to accomplish.

Doing the sidequests that have purpose and leaving out the extraneous levelling and stat boosting (with sources), I believe I clocked in at 26 hours, at best. There was a contest at Gametalk one time and I think that was my time.

Trying to do the sources, the WEAPON sidequests, the limit break completion, and the mastered materia ventures can all take some time, so I'd say seventy or eighty hours might be right. That's without dilly-dallying, and if I'm lucky.

I always paced myself when I played FF7 for some reason. There was never any times after the first play-through when I tried to hurry myself along to get from Point A to Point B. I like the smoothness of the game in that aspect.

My last game, I clocked in at 45:03, and I didn't do any super-levelling or chocobo breeding. I would assume that would be about average for myself.

On my first playthrough, I did approximately 60-70 hours. I didn't get everything, but there's always next time.

My clock hit 99:59:59 a long time ago, and has been stuck there ever since. And only because I tried to max out. The first time I "beat" the game was probably around 45 hours.

Not sure, I've only played through the game twice. First time my younger brother saved over my game when I was on the third disk, the other time at the end of the fourth. Think my time was around 40 hours on my second time around.

Edit: Why did I put fourth disk?

65 hours, and that is after everything (Beating weapons, chocobos, getting ult. wpns. and limit breaks). It took me 65 hours to do it all.

First time... probably upto 150 hours
Second time... ~80 hours
Third time... ~60 hours

I used to enjoy wasting time on levelling-up, sidequests, extra bosses, mini-games, etc.
