I'm supposed to be doing this thing for school, where i ask a bunch of people what they gave people for Valentine's Day. As I'm currently sick with sinuses and killer headaches, as well as sneezes and colds, could you guys help me out? What did you give somebody for Valentine's Day?

Well, I slapped this girl on the arse, and before she could slap me, I told her it was an early Valentines' Day present.

Then she slapped me.

I haven't given a thing to anybody on Valentine's Day and that's because I ain't got no valentine, thus no valentine gifts. Otherwise I'd give the traditional flowers/chocolates routine; a ring or jewelry maybe?

When I was in the 12th grade, I bought my girlfriend 5 small gifts (a teddy bear, her favorite candy bar, a mixed cd, a nice card, and a box of chocolates) and had an arrangement with the teachers of her first 5 classes to set them on her desk before she arrived. Then, for the 6th class, I was sitting in her desk when she got there. It was mushy or whatever, but it was also pretty romantic. So she says, anyway.

I went to a valentines date function with my roommate's girlfriend's roommate (this was Saturday night). She was fun and certainly good-looking, no complaints here.

I was sick all day today, too, so I gave my entire family this bug that had me unconcious for the past 16 hours. Probably won't take though, since they were the ones to give it to me.

The scene at the local Jewel on Sunday night: People filling up the flower aisles, the greeting card aisle and the candy aisle. There, now you know what thousands of people gave their loved ones for St. Valentine's Day. I don't have a companion to give stuff to, but if you need answers from people who actually have given things, just say I gave chocolate, roses and a hallmark card. smile.gif

You may as well add to your list a heart-shaped pepperoni pizza. I didn't give it but my mom gave it to me.

Yummy roses.

And one by one I watched every constellation die
And there I was frozen, standing in my backyard
Face to face, eye to eye, staring at the last star
I should've known, walked all the way home
To find that she wasn't here, I'm still all alone

I gave a cake that was shaped like a heart. It was to a friend, not a love interest.

...

Well, there's this girl who didn't yet know I like her. So guess what I gave her...nah, don't try. You won't guess the items.

+ a letter (in which I criticize the short-lived nature of flowers and candy and speak of how they are unrepresentative of a true companionship
+ 3 five-cent Canadian coins (given because they bear the likeness of the beaver, our school mascot)
+ an mp3 of the Wind Man track from the Rockman Promo Disc

I bought my wife flowers to be delivered at her work office during the day. Then I made a candlelight dinner for her. She liked it. smile.gif
