I think there could have been some more snow levels, and in towns

Perhaps a Batlle on an Airship would have been the keenest!

I also think they could have done better by making snow come with the time of year instead of random rain

Technically speaking
Possible spoilers: highlight to view
the final battle is in the graveyard of airships

But I like the town/castle battles the best. Where you fight Velius is my favourite battle field.

I'm a big fan of battles with elevation differences, so it isn't just a stupid plain. My favorite places for random battles are Germinas Peak, Doguola Pass, Bariaus Hill, Bariaus Valley, and Lenalia Plateau.

I really like the zombie forest (whatever it's called) cause you can kill everything with Mustadio's Seal Evil technique.

I'm with Racthoh on this one, Velius' stage is my favorite, with the final stage in second.

It's funny, I usually hate to fight in dungeons in most FF games, but the scenery in FFT's dungeons was really good. It had good lighting effects (Not to bright, nor to dark) So I really liked the dungeon fights, even if there were only a few.

I always enjoy grassland battles, particularly Mandalia Plains. If there are rocks or other obstacles nearby (like in Mandalia) then it provided for some interesting tactics.

Definitely the town/city maps during the actual scenario fights. I liked how there were certain defensible positions or great attacking positions, and you really had to secure the good areas quickly or you were in trouble. On a flat plain you can pretty much do anything you want and there's not as much strategy involved.

My favorite battle was the Sand something lair I think, with the little house full of the death corps. It would have been cool to be in the other position and defend the house against attack. I wish there was a way to play all of the maps from the scenario battles after you complete them..

I liked the dungeon battles, too. I'm not sure which of these really classify as a dungeon, but my favorite fight scenes were where you fought Velius, inside of Igros Castle, the Graveyard at Limberry Castle, and the Graveyard of Airships. Those were really cool to fight in.

My favorite outside fights were Barius Valley, and the one board where you fight near the docks...

I also love the neveleska temple.

Now that I think of it, my favorite story battle setting was the elaborate tomb dungeon where you fight Zalbag in Murond Holy Place. I think it's the last story battle before you return to Orbonne.

I liked waterfall battles. Preferably ones where I was at the top looking down. River battles too. They a lowed for some serious cheating if there were cats involved.

Definately the town-type locations or the one-shot battlefields. The Goland snow battle was awesome, as was the game's second battle and the Bethla Garrison fights.

I can't compare those to normal locations because fighting the storyline battles are a treat, not normality. They have that extra somethin'.

Towns. Heck, I like fighting in towns in just about any game.

I'm also fond of the desert areas for some reason. Must be that charmingly bland landscape...

Grasslands because of the scenery, and inside buildings because they have that claustrophobic feel to 'em, like you're trapped and you've got no space, so it's harder and more strategic. My absolute favorie is inside buildings.
