For me it was every last little word and I loved every second of it! biggrin.gif

(Clarification: first time through means first time playing the game.)

After the event with Malak where you had the choice of Yes or No if you read them was when I realized you could actually read it. So yes, I did.

I did too the first time, then purposely didn't read on my second time to check if it changed something. Sadly, it only changes Malak's line...

I did read it about 2 years ago, but on my new game, I did not read them because I already knew what it said. It gets boring the second time around. eh.gif

Every single page, in one sitting too. That book is an important part of the story so I figured "Why not?". Lots of typos though. When that person asked you if you've read them or not I lied and said no however. I always found it wise to play stupid with your enemies after all. Was that person Malak? It's been a while.

Yes I did. But if I were to do it again, I'd certainly read Neal's transcription instead.

I was totally engrossed in Tactics and so read the entire Germonik Scriptures as well as just about everything else in the "Brave Story" section.

I did, but I have to say, Square REALLY could've just upped the display speed a notch for this one. It's tedious having text displayed half as fast as I can read it; the scriptures were even way slower than that. :/

Good read though.

Thanks to CoN for this one biggrin.gif

I always read it every game because I always forget what the book is actually telling. Right now, all I remeber is things like that Ajora wasn't the true Child of God she was supposed to be. I only remeber that after reading it completely more than 3 times!

The first time, I read the whole thing (It was longer than I expected, but it was worth it.)
Every other time i've played the game I don't read it, or I forget.

Yep, I read it, all right!!! At first I thought it was juse one of those useless items like you sometimes find on propositions, but then I saw a command saying "Triangle: Read Scriptures" on it, so I pressed Triangle, and voila!!

And Silverlance, I wholeheartedly agree with you. Some parts of the scriptures were way too slow.

The first time through I was intrigued by all the backstories of the characters, so I would comb through all the rumors, Brave Story entries, and the country's background as well, through the propositions, treasures, and Germonik Scriptures.

So, yes, I read the Germonik Scriptures the first time through. =p

The reason this is my favorite game, is because this is the best story square has put out. It's very midevil, it's very western, and it's one of the most creative stories they have come up with, thus why I liked the Germonik Scriptures, they took all that time to not only come up with a story, but write a fricking back story to boot!!! In the Game!!!!!!!!

Wow!

Hell yeah, I did! Too slow, but great read. One of the reasons why FFT is my favorite game!! The background music, I think, is very fitting, too. thumbup.gif

I didn't read it before Malak asked me if I had, but after that, when I found out you could read them, I decided to try it. Never did it again because of the length.
