Hmm, niether of you got it. Mario and Dr. Mario can both do "spike" if that's the right combo and the "Dr. Tornado" though dissimilar is close enough to "Mario Tornado" not to count.
I'll give the answer tomarrow but here's a hint: Possible spoilers: highlight to view Anything more then that would give it away. Heck with it, that might even give it away . . . Just because Dr. Mario can't do it, doesn't mean somebody else can't. -------------------- |

Well Perigryn, that's a good guess considering that Luigi has a (somewhat different) fireball attack . Pill and Fireball are also the most dissimilar attacks between the two characters in question seeing as how Pill does slightly more damage, has a more predictable bouncing pattern and doesn't burn the enemy. However, it is wrong because one bouncing, gravity based, projectile attack is still very much the equivelent to another bouncing, gravity based, projectile attack.
Now, you might be wondering what the answer is because every attack that Mario has Dr.Mario can match with very few and very negligable differences. However, I never said attack, I said ability which is a much broader term. It could include anything from your basic punch to the throwing of a bottle. And now for the point of this post, the answer is "wall-jump". To do it, have Mario hit a wall and tap the control stick in the oppisite directon. Mario should do a Mario 64 style wall kick and jump upwards in the direction you instructed him to. It does not count as a mid-air jump nor does it prevent you from doing any other moves. One place you can put this to use is the Hyrule Temple stage on the left hand side of the hole that leads down to the lower half of the stage. (For some reason, it won't work on the part on the right.) In my hint, I mentioned another character can do this. He's Young Link. In fact if you don't know how to pull off a "wall-jump" you won't get very far in Break the Targets with him. I don't know why Dr. Mario can't do it but he can't and because of that, the next question is up for grabs. This post has been edited by Tonepoet on 29th January 2005 20:28 -------------------- |

Cool.
This one might be kinda easy: There's only one enemy originally from SMB2(us) that also appears as an enemy in SMB3. There's also something different about this enemy's design in SMB3. What's the enemy's name and what's its physical difference between the two games? -------------------- Words of Wisdom: If something can go wrong, it will. Well, I can't remember every enemy in both games off the bat but my first guess would have to be Pokey. I'm saying this because he's green in Super Mario Bros. 2 but some sort of shade of yellow in just about every other game he's in. However, for some reason I can't remember for the life of me if he's in SMB3 or not so I could be wrong.
I'd like to take this chance to say that in Super Mario All*Stars, that the kings in SMB3 turn into multiple SMB2 enemies. So depending on the version you're playing, not just one enemy appears in both games. Meh, I know it is just a minor detail but just incase anybody wanted to know. . . To clarify, I'm talking about the NES versions.
And although the Pokeys first appeared in SMB2 and have had a color change since then, they weren't in SMB3. -------------------- Words of Wisdom: If something can go wrong, it will. Holy crap, I can't belive I answered Pokey! It dawned on me just now, you're talking about Bob-ombs. They used to have satchels attached to them in SMB2 and they don't anymore. In SMB3, they also have "wind-up keys" for lack of a better term. I know that they are in world 8 of SMB3 as well, maybe some earlier worlds too. Their color might be different too but I can't be sure because I've only played All*Stars version for quite some time now. I've got to be right, right?

Why thank you SilveFork for an interesting question. Now here's a somewhat easy one that I'm only asking because I'm starting to run out of questons:
In Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island there's one end of fortress/castle boss who can be killed in one hit. Can you tell me the name the boss, how you can do this and what happens after you kill them in this fashion? This post has been edited by Tonepoet on 1st February 2005 09:22 -------------------- |

The boss is a large Piranha Plant, and if you aim it just right, before the fight, a well aimed egg will hit him on his weak spot and defeat him instantly.

"Navel" Piranha Plant actualy but in essance you are correct Twilight. Here's a more complete explination:
You enter the room with the Navel Piranha Plant, try carefully not to start the fight before you get to the platform and once you're on the platform hit him with an egg. You'll know you were successful because; A) the Piranha Plant is still small when you hit it with the egg and ![]() Okay Twilight, you're up. Edit Hey! My B got turned into an emoticon! How unfair. Dang, you got it, I was hoping this would be more of a head scratcher. After all, this isn't referanced in the actual games. However, their last names are reffered to in the Mario Movie and this has also been comfirmed by Mr. Miyamato himself. Personaly, I don't like the name Mario Mario myself but hey, that's his name. Your turn to ask a question Loose_Hair.
