I heard a rumor that you could find a magitek armor you could equip and unequip as you wanted on one characther.

I tink this is just somemthing someone made up.

I forget EXACTLY how you get the Magitek, but you do get to equip it in Cyan's dream. Sadly, you don't get to keep it or unequip it though. BUT, at the end of the dream you get an esper, and that's always a plus.

It's relatively easy to get the Magitek armor in Doma Castle in the World of Ruin.  Simply go through Cyan's dream sequence, beat the Three Dream Stooges, get through the dream Phantom Train puzzles, and boom!  Your entire party is in a shiny set of M-Tek goodness.  Unfortunately, this sequence doesn't last long (unless you want it to), and there's no way to keep it after you've finished that part of the dream.

The secret is actually to completely ignore the path going through the rocky caves and backtrack a screen to a bridge.  Attempt to cross, and you'll fall down into Doma Castle, minus your Magitek armor.

I'm pretty sure it glitched up for me one time, and one of my field sprites ended up wearing Magitek after they should.  I have no idea how this happened though.  It disappeared quickly (you could only see it in a dialogue scene where the entire party were visible anyway) and never made it far enough to get into a battle.

Or maybe I dreamed it.  Who knows?

No not Cyans dream, but a secret one you could find (outside of the dream).

Nope, sorry. If there was we would have found out by now. ...But there is CzarDragon to prove that defense wrong... In other words, don't get your hopes up. Everyone is 99.9% sure it doesn't exist.   :)

Pretty sure they weren't that specific when they mentioned the Magitek armour in Doma. Where did you find that out?

Though if you bring Terra with you for the ride in the MagiTek armor, you'll get to use all of her cool attacks that you used in the beginning of the game. At least while you're still riding the armor.
