In the same vein as monkey-wrench's thread, who is your favorite non-Beoulve?  The "Other" choice is definitely there for a reason, there were simply too many non-Beoulves to include in a ten-choice poll.  I managed to put the main players in the story in the poll, but there are doubtless others that could be there as well.

Out of these, I think I liked Olan the best.  Not only was he awesome in battle (when he used his Galaxy Stop spell and wasn't trying to use his stupid dictionary to kill people, that is),  but he played a really important role in the story in collecting information on Ramza.  Though it was more in the ending and even the beginning of the game, his role was crucial and made it as cool as it was.

Mm yes, Delita. Delita ruled, just because he was a commoner that twisted everyone in his path to become ruler. Whether he's good or bad is definately to debate, I liked him, and that's all that matters.

I really liked Izulde and Meliadoul's characters. Even though their father was corrupt, they still tried to do the right thing with their family. There are just so many good storylines, it's hard to choose a character. I wanted to vote for Mustadio and his father, too.

Way, way, way too hard to choose.  I could maybe narrow it down to four, but that's as far as I could go.

Orlandu gets a vote, of course, simply because it was awesome to play with him.  He's kind of like the General Leo you never got to have.  You heard all the legends of "Thunder God Cid", you saw him disagree with corrupt authority, and...he didn't die off!  No, this mindlessly powerful swordsman actually gets to join your party!  Sweet.  Besides, all of the high-tier Sword Magic was extremely useful.

I also liked Olan, because he was great in battle, and the little twist in the end involving his character was a great addition.  He always seemed cool, and his Galaxy Stop was senselessly effective.  It's a shame he never gets to join up permanently.

Mustadio gets a vote for me.  His outfit was neat, and he plays sort of like a plucky action hero, dodging danger and getting into all sorts of trouble.  Plus, his name was really cool.  I also liked Snipe, and with a secondary Item ability Mustadio could be quite useful.

Finally, I'd choose Delita.  He was a great villain, in that he chose manipulation and finesse over outright strength (though he was a decent swordsman in his own right).  This trait made him all the more sinister.  The way he starts making surprise kill-offs on characters in the end is very surprising, and his final scene is quite disturbing.  It's not so much that I liked him, it's just that he was a fantastic character.

Agh I can't choose.

Olan was like, sexy fine because of Galaxy Stop.  I mean, you get like the most useful status effects all at once...on EVERYONE.
SPOILER ALERT!  Highlight to view:
Sure he got killed off after the game, but then again, everyone did.  Every darn one.

And, yes, story...of course he was very important...but Galaxy Stop is enough for me.

Then Orlandu.  I mean...ORLANDU.  I think the worst part about having him in your party is that you have to choose which Sword Technique to use to kill all the enemies.  He wasn't quite as involved in the story as Olan was, but he makes that up with all that freaking power.

I'm going to have to agree with Gears; Izlude and Meliadoul were great characters, despite the fact that Izlude:

Note: Spoiler involves storyline plot at the end of chapter three.
SPOILER ALERT!  Highlight to view:
died after his father conjured the power of the Zodiac Stone

Delita was a great character too, as I was very surprised when Delita:

became king from a commoner

But my vote goes to "Other".

In the past, I would have picked Elmdor, but in the last year Meliadoul has become my favorite. In addition to having a cool sprite, I also like the role she plays in the story. It must be that blend of determination and gullibility you get her.

But seriously, her sprite is awesome. I would trade any generic sprite for it.

I have 3 people i liked Agrias for her since of pride and her loyalty to the Princess Ovelia and you can make her almost unstopable at the end. Then you got Zalbag he has a great since of pride and loyalty
Possible spoilers: highlight to view
the only think i dont get about him why was he at Fort Zeakden i couldnt believe he do that.
Then there is Wiegraf (at the beginning) he just wanted the soliders that fought to help protect the land to be the same as the nobles that did it, and he only wanted to hurt the ones that hurt his solider
Possible spoilers: highlight to view
but he was TRICKED I THINK INTO BECOMING A TEMPLE KNIGHT UNDER VORMAV that part really pissed me off because i wanted him to join my team.
Then theirs Elmdor

I voted Orlandu. Do you need to ask why? But if it wasn't for him, I'd say Mustadio. He's been in my party for EVERY battle since I got him.

Dragon Lancer,

This is what Delita said

Possible spoilers: highlight to view
Delita fell in love with Ovelia and was forced to killl, Olan wasnt talking about Ovelia if you remeber corret Balmafula was with Olan when he said it, Balmafula was a spy for the church sent to keep a eye on Delita (Delita knew this) and if he was to backstabb the church her orders were to kill him, but she couldnt do it because she believed in his views, SO I think this is what happend made it look like Olan killed Balmafula and Delita killed Olan just like what happend with Orlandu and Goltana, or just made it look like he killed them both and told everyone they were spys from the church both could have happend hard to know what Delita was thinking at that point, but Delita let them both esacpe from the castle and thats why Balmafula and Olan came to your grave after every left becasue they were suppose to be died and Olan being the son of T.G Cid everyone would have known his face

i voted Delita.

Possible spoilers: highlight to view
His cunning personality was mainly what convinced me. His plans were subtle in their own right, yet devious and remarkably effective. He was also, for a moment, the shady character who you once knew, whose motives no one can be truly sure of, and i think his character develops well in pace with the unfolding of the main plot. He was once a simple peasant, downtrodden and, to some people, contemptible becuase of his rank, but driven by his ambition and his rage, which both seemed to corrupt his spirit near the end of chapter one, he eventually worked his way up, killing goltana and taking his place as King. Come on, that takes wits thumbup.gif

If he was on the poll, though, i would have definitely said Elmdor. 2nd would be Izlude.

Hm...

Delita, or Elmdor? Delita, or Elmdor?

I'll pick Delita since he's not exactly an "Other" option.

Where's all the mentions of Beowulf, huh?

He was pretty cool, his Temple Sword was very nice though it seemed like just a suped up version of all the oracle ablities. He had a nice but a bit overused story.(OMG My beloved is cursed!)

For a second opinion I had to go with Miluda, She fought for her beliefs till the very end, I wish I didn't have to kill her..;.;

Beowulf would take second place as far as my list goes, but there's something about Meliadoul that even status effects can't beat. I think I'm in love with that sprite or something. happy.gif

Why do all the enemies get the good outfits? dry.gif

But lo! if I had to choose one it would be Beowulf. Beowulf's outfit was semi-decent, but the real thing that put him over the edge was his honor towards Reis. Enough said about that. happy.gif His status effects rocked, also.

Now that I look at him...WOW. I guess I haven't seen ole' Beowulf in a while. He takes the cake for outfits. Even over Izlude! ohmy.gif

Agrias, so powerful in battle and no-wait on her moves, Mustadio would be second (Why is he not on the Poll list?). So Agrias got my vote as fav-non-Beoulve.

I haven't really played that much of FFT(I keep losing at the Goug Machine City battle) but my vote definetely goes to Mustadio. He is so cool in battle(when he has his gun) and he is a good companion to Ramza. My second choice would be Agrias, and my third is Wiegraf.
