Well, I was looking for Super Mario 64 and Super Smash Brothers. I didn't quite know there were four of them (although I was afraid there were more), but I decided I could check on Google if necessary.
Caesar has the question, which he refuses. It's up for grabs. -------------------- Check the "What games are you playing at the moment?" thread for updates on what I've been playing. YIKES! The last two questions went by so quickly, I didn't even see them until they were answered. Well, now it is time for the question: Can you name the item Booster gives you if you help him with something and tell me how you help him?

He gives you the amulet, and you help him with something to do with curtains or something, I can't remember...

Booster gives you an Amulet if you manage to evade the sniffits in the curtain game. The Mario Doll Is above you and you jump and get it for him.

Okay MogMaster, you're up. You know, I thought this would be a harder question considering SMRPG isn't the most famous of games and this was part of an optional puzzle. However, I forgot where I was asking. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

In which Mario game, where, and how, can you add more time to the course?

In Super Mario World SNES, on the last of the levels in the 'special zone' (outrageous or something like that) you can have Yoshi eat the green appleas and it gives you some more time.
Always thought that was a cool part of the game that I hadn't seen anywhere else (beating a special area and having the entire game switch palettes and sprites) This post has been edited by imperialstooge on 20th January 2005 08:43 |

Here's one, a little easy though.
In Super Mario Bros. 2, there are enemies at the ends of certain stages that shoot things at you. How many types are there, what colors are they, and what do they shoot (EACH specifically) |

That's easy. They are called Birdos and there are three differnet types. Here they are:
1. Pink, Shoots Eggs only. 2. Red Shoots Eggs and Fireballs. 3. Green Shoots Fireballs only. Am I right? -------------------- |

Ah Birdo, I will always remember that pink monstocity. "She" always used to kill me when I was a young one. Just imagine my shock when I saw the red one . . . These days however, only the Green ones give me any trouble at all. Go figure.
Hmm, considering how quickly the last six questions were answered, I'm going to have to pull out some bigger guns. The game is "Kirby Superstar". The question: In Kirby Superstar there are multiple referances and cameos that have to do with Mario and his adventures. Can you name them all? -------------------- |

I guess that must have been a far harder question then I thought. Nobody even tried. Well here's the answer for all of you curious folks out there:
1. Mairo. Luigi, Toad and Birdo apear in the crowds at Mount Dede in "Spring Breeze" and the Megaton Punch minigame. Unfortuanatly, you can't see who is in the crowd in "The Arena". 2. In "The Great Cave Offense", there are tree treasures you can find relating to the Mario's adventures. The first one is called bucket and it is from a japanese game called Mario and Wario. The second one is a "turtle shell" that looks suspicously like a Koopa Shell. The third and final one is called "Kong Barrel" which first apeared in the game Donkey Kong in which Mario was the hero. 3. If you beat "Milkey Way Wishes" Mario apears in the credits. 4. Kirby can rarely turn into a golden Mario statue when using the Stone power. Mario fans, don't hold your breath though because it rarely ever happens. Okay, so maybe that is a hard question . . . Hey, how did you know Perigryn? I was in the middle of typing my question up when you posted. Can you see into the future or something? ![]() The next question is up for grabs again. I know there's a pirated Mario fighting game, then there's a pirated NES port of Super Mario World and, like, a dozen or so Super Mario Bros.
Speaking of which, how cool would Mario be as a pirate... ![]() -------------------- Words of Wisdom: If something can go wrong, it will. If anything simply cannot go wrong, it will anyway. Man,I guess that was too hard wasn't it cause nobody even guessed. The answers are:
Super Mario 4 involved Mario in a city.(for curious people) and Super Mario 14 involved Mario as a ninja.(for curious people...again!) anyway the question is up for grabs. -------------------- "...But we will succeed. We pride ourselves in making the impossible possible." |

Well, every pirated Mario game I've heard of has been, like, Super Mario 4 - 15 or something. Seriously, there are a lot of them if my memory's correct, which usually isn't the case...
I'll ask one, though: In what Mario game do you encounter enemy eggplants? (I'm pretty sure they're only in one Mario game, but if they've turned up in others then name the game where they made their first appearance.) -------------------- Words of Wisdom: If something can go wrong, it will. Well, I'm not sure but I think the game you're thinking of is Wrecking Crew. I don't have that particular game. I'm basing this on remembering there being a trophy in Smash Brothers Melee of an eggplant looking guy and it said Mario and Luigi fought him in Wrecking Crew.
I might as well say that currently I can't think of any games where Mario fought an eggplant. There are plenty of Pirana Plants though and they kinda look like green, red or spoted eggplants depending on the game. -------------------- |

Only NES game with eggplants I know of is Kid Icarus. Though I suspect there were eggplants in Super Mario Bros. 2, but they were probably used for throuwing. So I doubt I'm right with that either.

Indeed, the game is Wrecking Crew. I totally forgot about the Eggplant Man (if I'm remembering its name right) trophy in SSBM. Curses!
![]() WC's a little-known game, it seems. Quite fun at first, but very repetitive after only a little while. The level-builder thingy is kinda cool, though. That was a good question Silverfork, it would've stumped me if it hadn't been for SSBM. Just incase you were curious Perigryn, there are no eggplants in SMB2.
Now consdering that the last question I asked was way too hard, I'll ask an easier one this time. Since SSBM got me through the last question SSBM will be the game of topic: In Super Smash Bros. Melee, what one ability does Mario have that his counterpart Dr.Mario doesn't have an equivalent of? To my knowlege there is only one. -------------------- |

This should be easy for me...Unfortunately,it ain't so i'm going to guess with Mario's "mario tornado" in which Mario "spins them silly, then scatters them in every which way" and Dr. Mario's "Dr. tornado" in which Doc Mario throws them in varial direction or something.Although I maybe wrong so I should wait.
