Possible Online FFT?

Yo, do you guys think it is possible to play this game online?

The ePSXe Supports online play and if you use PEC(Emulator gameshark) you can activate the 2 player mode cheat Which would allow you to fight your own team. You can both send each other their own memory cards also.

The only thing that I find a problem is transferring one team to another save file. It could be possible, maybe some here will know how.

Another idea I can think of is having preset teams or just people build their own team from the gameshark within certain rules and such..

Please post your comments or ideas...

If this has already be proven impossible, I'm sorry for wasting your time.

I don't quite understand what you mean here? Do you mean transferring one's save file to another person's memory card?

If so all you have to do is send them your memory card file.

It seems logical. Do you think maybe you could share the code so we could try it out? I've never seen this 2 player mode cheat before.

I like the idea, but I can't even get the code to work. Still, If someone does figure out how to do this, then I will not rest until I get that code to work!

I love the idea of an online FFT battle. It would be exciting to fight other people instead of stupid CPU units and monsters for a change. As for the possibility of it happening, I'm not sure because I don't have any programming skills. Still, I think if the data is in the game for two players and the emulator has online capablilities, I don't see why not.

I don't think it is getting the save file over to your friend so much as it is getting two saves to interact with eachother. You know, so both players could use their own units, equipment ect. I think that would be a problem but since I have no idea on the possibilities on that, I won't comment on it further.

Good luck Garfgarog and I hope your project's a success. It'll mean plenty of enjoyable times for all if it is.
