im trying to buy the rust rid from the guy in zozo but he continues to say its dangerous here and dont think about jumpoin between buildings ive already accomplished everything to this point according to the walk through.

I was kinda stuck for a little while once because I forgot to trigger the letter scene. Try talking to Lola and checking the letter. When the party recognizes the handwriting the zeeb in Zozo will sell you the rustrid.

You'll need to check out the bird at the entrance of Zozo too. If you do not check out the bird, you will be unhappy forever. I lost a nephew that way. A ribbon on his coffin said 'If only he had checked out the bird'.

I was working on that event bit editor for Imzo when I last ran into that problem and used to think I had broken an event bit. Believe me, I was practically pulling my hair out by the root until I read the letter and later triggered the bird-flying-to-Zozo cutscene...

Edit: Actually I cheated my way a little through that door and changed the map ID I was on, out of desperation. Even then, various clipping issues made it impossible to get through the place.
