Hiya, I'm replaying FFIV and I recently got a Cursed Ring dropped on me by some enemies from Mount Hobbs. I read elsewhere that it provides invulnerability to Ice, Fire, and Lit magic attacks at the expense of your stat points. My question is, is this ring like some others in the other games in that if I use it in X number of battles the curse will be broken and it will turn into an even better item?

As far as I know, that won't happen. It remains cursed forever.

I've been playing FFIV the last few days trying to beef up my party. I made sure Cecil had the cursed ring on all the while I've been fighting enemies. My recent playing just reaffirmed that nothing happens to change the cursed status of the ring. I just like to collect rare items just because, even if they're not of any real advantage to my party.

i found that too, and also recently played the remake. you won't need the cursed ring, especially since the curse will not break. don't bother with it, preperation is everything.

It also does nothing to help DK Cecil.
