I got all 14 characters to level 99 with max HP and MP, except Gogo's MP. Is it possible to get max HP and MP on everyone?

I go for everyone. ^^ And it is, if you use the right Espers to boost stats. Personally I go for Attack, Magic, Speed and Defence more than HP. Depending on the character.

None, the game is easy enough, the enemies don't gain levels with you, and I didn't have a reason to do so.

I can see people doing it for curiousity or a challenge.

After I have a team that can beat the game I don't see a whole lot of point to it. That's just me.

I usually get all my characters to level 99 in all final fantasy games. I just like the way it looks, so unless I absolutely despise using said character (Quina from FFIX), they will be level 99 at the end of the game (Usually I make a save at 60 or so and beat it and then continue on...that way I can beat the game any time I want)

Pretty good advice. I don't usually stop intentionally at a particular level and go beat the final boss just so I can make another file and explore the rest of the game, I have done that before though, particularly with 4, 6, and 10. I did do it a few times with 7. I can't help it, all of these games are so addictive.

I voted 1-3 'cause that's the most I've gotten done at one time... but in my last game I was gunning for an all-99 team until I got bored.

I'm with Kane on this. Although in FF6 I had to do it twice. Once with the Ragnarok sword and once with the Esper. I really have no idea WHY I do it at all...I guess seeing all those 9s makes me happy. I haven't just 'beaten' the game, I've totally THRASHED it.

My last character to level up both times was Umaro, because I'd usually take them one-by-one on solo leveling up missions going up 10 levels at a time using Espers to boost the stats I think that character needed. Umaro, on the other hand, canNOT stand his own against strong enemies...plus he's the last character on the roster. ^^ PLUS he, ya know, sucks.

Let's just say getting a level 99 char at pretty much the beginning of the WoR speeds things up.

I got around 5 the last playthrough, but I'm hoping to improve on that this time, and pay attention to the espers' stat boosts.

I tend to go for 4-6. I don't really need anyone above level 60 in most games but If I enjoy the game enough I'll level everyone. 4-6 is just if I'm playing extra for fun.

In my first game I trained up Gau and Cyan to level 99 just to see how easy Kefka can be. There was no need to train up anyone else. Cyan's Quadra Slam (yes the fourth sword technique) did 9999 damage.

I never made it to level 99 with anyone. I just don't have the time to spent hours for leveling...

I'm only like that if I've already beaten the game before. If not, sometimes I'll level up like crazy. Don't like to do it in 8 though, Squall makes the enemies tougher.

Well, bragging rights. And I mean it is fun to beat people with one (or two since 9999 is max) hits.

One character ever made it to level 99. Guess who that is. Shadow! I just don't want a bunch of characters at level 99, just one. Maybe if I turn all the characters into level 99, doing 9999 damage with normal attacks, 9999 magic damage, 9999 hp, 999 Mp and 9999..... something....

i'd have to agree with you bud dont you hate how near the end those guys have that instant death move its so friggin annoying

especially if you have no pheonix downs or magic left ehhe but if you max everyone and put a genji glove AND offering on the same person it will smoke the last boss

if that person can get the first strike on them he will kill all of them IF they do 9999 damage each hit

only did it wit one person, and that was edgar and dino forest, got him going solo, i have EVERYTHING maxed out on him, but i personally would not do it again

The only times I've bothered getting somebody to level 99, I did it to my main party of four and nobody else. I just didn't have the dedication to do it.

None, I just don't have that commitment to level up anyone to 99, maybve into the 70's but that is it, If I tried to get everyone to Lv.99 I would have at least 200+Hours on my file. Still I don't have anyone at level 99, and probaly won't ever have any there.

None. I usually get bored with the game after level 70 or so, and start a new one.

Once I had a few characters at 99, but that was a long time ago.

It's really easy to do for all 14. Exp. Egg, single character party, forest area near Maranda in World of Ruin, or Tyranosaurs in Dinosaur Forest. Level city.

Why would I do that? If you fight every random encounter, from beggining to end doing every sidequest once, you only end up at level 38. That is of couse if you level you fourteen chacacters perfectly even. At that time you can have every piece of magicite, every piece of equipment and be able to beat the final boss. Sure it would be cool to have 9999 HP on a character but I would rather play through the game again. Yes, I do realize there is no way to have Odin and Raiden at the same time. Don't mention the Illumina/Ragnarok or Paladin Sheild/Cursed Sheild either. Maybe someday, if I am realy bored I will make it a goal. But with over 50 SNES games that won't be for a long time.

Forgot to mention, Don't mention the Ragnarok esper with the Illumina/Ragnarok combo either.

Role reversal at its finest.

If you take your first 4-person party (Celes, Sabin, Edgar, Setzer) in the WoR to the Dino forrest and get them up to 99, every character you find after that will be at level 99 as well. So by leveling up 4 people, you can level up everyone. I used to do this, but then I realized that you miss out on the ability to stat boost with espers, so I don't now.

Also, for some reason, this works for everyone except Gau. You can have every other character at 99, but for some reason Gau will always be at the level you left him in the WoB.
