What card and board games do you guys play? Here are my favorites:
Card Games: 1. Spades 2. Rummy 3. Uno 4. Hearts Board Games: 1. Chinese Checkers 2. Monopoly 3. Chess 4. Checkers For years Spades had been the most popular game at www.zone.com, so I decided to see why it's so popular. Now I know. It's a fantastic card game. Less luck, more strategy and skill. Of course your partner has to be good too which is why rating systems help. You can start games where players are required to have a rating above a certain number. i love card games
hearts spades various forms of poker magic the gathering (what can i say, im addicted) i don't really play boardgames any more but i used to play axis and allies warhammer 40k risk monopoly clue chess Edit king of chocobos' response made me remeber my heroQuest days... i wish i still had the pieces aah the good old days of clue... My favorite card game is Magic: The Gathering - greatest card game ever (and the first TCG)
My favorite board game is unfortunately out-of-print. It is an old game called HeroQuest, which is a game with a DnD-like theme. (if DnD were a board game, i would have put it instead) -------------------- kweh! |

My friends and I play board games all the time. There are some really cool ones out there.
- Risk, of course - Axis and Allies - like Risk on steroids. It's an amazing game that you will like if you like Risk - Settlers of Cattan - our cool down game or game if we only have an hour or two. It's less competetive, but still fun. These are the ones we're playing right now. We're also saving up for Diplomacy and some future version of Risk. Rock! |

My friends and I'll play poker about once a month with a $10 buy in. It's all in fun and I never win.
The game that I am addicted to however is Backgammon. My friend Dennis and I play it every time we hang out. We play a version of it called Acey-Ducey, which makes it faster and more cutthroat. Simple game to learn and difficult to master, give it a try. Card games: Bridge, Hearts, Trico, Spit, Poker
Board games: Clue (my all-time favorite), Trivial Pursuit, Risk, Stratego, Chess, Scattergories, Cranium, Taboo If anyone here thinks they can beat me at Trivial Pursuit or Clue, you're kidding yourself. My Clue marking system is flawless (it involves me setting up logic matricies across one or two scoresheets, depending on how many players there are), and the unstoppable duo of my ex-gf and I have won Trivial Pursuit games on the first turn before (on Genus Edition questions, and no that isn't misspelled).
