I think, though I could rip Edwards guts out with a spoon, Edge is my most disliked Character. Only Edgar can pull off the horny royalty act. *swoons*

I find FuSoYa's name annoying.

Edward's smart, in a way. Lets the others take the beating while he hides. Hey, he's royalty, he's not used to being in battles. It makes sense.

I had an old signature. Now I've changed it.

I don't mind Edward's hiding. I don't mind Tella's horrendously low stats (anymore). I don't mind Rydia's low HP, Edge's low defense, Cid's low attack,or FuSoYa's weird name.
What irritates me most at this point in time is Jump. It is such an overrated skill. You have to make Cain act slower to do almost as much damage as Cecil and Edge. Plus, the timing causes him to come down just as it's time for him to get hit, but in the air when Rosa heals everyone. If I wait for him to come down, 90% of the time, I run the risk of getting someone else killed.
My dislike of his character can be found in any of the threads made for him

I accidently hit cid somehow....
I meant to pick Kain though. He annoys the hell out of me, so many people like him but hes a spineless coward, falling prey to Golbeze's mind control because he was weak. His jump ability isnt even that great, if it wasn't for him being necessary in the fight with valvalis he would be mostly useless. So many people claim that he helped them win a battle because Kain would pull off one last jump after everyone else was dead, I actually never had this happen and after playing through all of FF4 think that if that was the case you need some serious help as it, like the other final fantasy games, was too easy.

There are annoying people on the best game of the world?


JK I picked Yang because his kick skill is overrated also. It just doesn't do enough damage for me.

I never liked Cecil, as a character. Well, he was okay as a Dark Knight, but he's such a typical hero. His name means 'Dim-Sighted One.' I found him one-dimensional and bland. Sure, he was a good fighter, but, I've always preferred mages anyway.

I hate Cid, he fits into the "weird old man" category for me

I find Tellah most annoying. I mean, for someone who is supposed to be the best mage in the world, he should have more than 90 effing magic points. Not to mention that he's a senile old geezer.

I find that ninja prince Edge to be very annoying. He's cocky, smartmouthed, and brash (all traits I don't go for in a man). If I was Rydia, I would have kicked his butt all the way to the moon myself (forget the Big Whale).

I like Edward. I find him sweet and sincere (if a bit lost).

Tellah really starts to rock when he remembers his spells.

Edge has got to be the most annying character in FFIV and possibly one of the most annyoing in all the Final Fantasies. He's rude, arrogant, cocky, and expects all the ladies to like him. He acts like he's the best and acts like it, even though hi might be (the point is that he's not humble at all). He's a snob, and they are the kind of people that tick me off in real life. The only good thing about Edge, in my opinion, is his throw skill (cleaver! ).

I null voted because I don't remember any part or character of the game that I didn't like. Even Edward could help seriously with putting enemies to sleep or charming them.
I can't believe there are that many people that dislike Edge.
I like him and I never used his throw abilities and only used his magic when the enemies were weak. I think it was because he could use the boomerang and fullmoon. Maybe it was because he was ambidextrous. I like using two weapons. I also liked putting the catclaw and a powerful sword on him so he'd hit them, then put them to sleep.

I also liked giving him two masamunes... I'd have him haste himself, then slaughter red dragons. I did a lot of solo slaughtering on the moon. When a character got to 99 they died. It was mysterious... it had nothing to do with being hit by all the other characters (although that happened too).

I agree Fusoya's name is annoying (because you have to give it t hose weird caps... not cool).
I also agree that it makes sense that Edward would hide, but that doesn't make him any less annoying, because he isn't real so I really don't care if he dies or not just as long as he stays in the battle so I can get as much damage done to my enemy as possible, which he doesn't do. Yes Edward did greatly outweigh the others, but I had to vote for him because I hate him so much.

In the end I voted FuSoYa; his place in the story seemed far too coincidental, his name reeked of "we cannot think of a name for this old man character so let's give him something kooky and entertaining," and his sprite looked awful. Admittedly, however, he was useful in battle for the short time he was available.

Also high on my list were Edge, whose low defense stat annoys me nearly as much as his tremendously bad dialogue, and Cecil, whom I thought was female for my first three playthroughs of the game.

About the question, i accidentally nullified my vote, but i would have voted for Porom and Palom, they're so damn annoying. I can't stand them ,they have such a low HP, at least their MP is higher than Tellah and their Twin attack is good.
Well, battle-wise, my vote goes for Tellah, character-wise, Porom and palom

I'd have to say Edge...He thinks he's buff, bad, cool and that women love him.

I hate Edward incredibly. I never really found him useful, and his Hide ability only managed to cause my team to be outnumbered and get killed. Then he goes and gets Anna killed. Not very high on my love list.

I didn't hate any of the characters in this game. I did think Palom was a bit much, and that Tellah's MP limit was stupid. Other than that, I loved all the characters.

It was stupid, but very understandable. A character with that many spells, and no limitations, would have unbalanced the game at the time. Plus it further showed us why he would die if he cast the 99 MP Meteo spell.

I like most of the characters in FFIV. Edward was rather irksome during the early parts of the game, and yet he did find his courage as the game progressed. I wasn't all that fond of Yang, but he was decent enough. I certainly didn't find him annoying.

Edward, Edge, and tellah. Tellah had so few MP and so many spells. You could hardly use any before the old bastard ran out of MP...

And why couldn't he convert *9* MP to HP to use Meteo on Goblez?

Maybe it doesn't work that way. It could be that going beyond by even a few can kill you. Besides, he didn't need only 9 extra MP, he had already cast Fire 3, Ice 3, etc... Just an idea. It's not cannon or anything.

I really didn't like edward because he'd run and hide right when I was gonna heal him... Edge comes next. The only reason edge isn't first is cause he amused me near the end of the game... silly adge and your twirly jumps...

Edge was a cool ninja, he just had an abrasive personality. C'mon, the guy was a decent fighter, could throw and had some mid-level quality blitzes. Leave him alone. He was a prince, he was supposed to act that way.

You realize, if it weren't for Edward, you'd never get the hovercraft or beat Dark Elf, right? So without him, you could never really advance past Kaipo. Exciting huh? Just thought I'd point these things out to you.
