Ok, I started playing this game a few days ago and heres the gist of it: you get to run a country and make decsions for it. You can have anything from a democray to a anarchy. I have a lot of fun messing around with my citizens.... bwhahaha. Anyhooo, it's free, and it doesn't take much time to play. 5-10 minutes a day. Here's a link. http://www.nationstates.net/

I, too, play this game. I love it, it doesn't take much effort, lol. It is interesting as a sort of political personality test.

Thanks for the information, I'm now signed up as "The Holy Empire of Peregrine City". Its interesting, but it seems a bit lacking when it comes to interacting with other nations.

I run The Holy Empire of The Dirty Sock. It is located in "The lounge." Everyone should move there and we could potentialy be a regional powerhourse. Bwhahahahaha

It took me a while to finally decide to get my lazy bum up and start playing this game, but I've made a nation. Â I'm the Principality of Kappa. Â I just started today so I think I made a few mistakes, but oh well. Â Making a region for us sounds spiffy, though.

You move to a new region by first signing into your country. Then you click on the link that says "The Pacfic" on the left hand side of the screeen. Then you click the link that says, "Tired of life in the Pacfic, then move to a new area" then you move to "The Lounge" and all is good.

Okay, now in those forums and even in the issues they talk about other countries invading and alliances and stuff, but can you actually do any of that?
I've only been able to answer the issues, which don't make sense at all because I'll always pick the humanitarian way out or the economical way, but somehow I'm a corrupt dictatorship and have a crappy economy. No, you can't declare war or anything. It's just the issues and UN kind of thing. They may expand the game to do other things, but I don't know when that would happen. Thanks for the link, the site is good. I signed on but there are a lot of things you can't do as you have already been informed by many other people.I personaly would like more interaction with other contries.

heh, a lot of the CoN people are leaving my region. Ah well. It seems that I was a trynant or something. heh. Just wait till they add the declare war feature.
The nationstate site is really annoying and slow though...The only time you can play is at 2 in the morning it seems. |

Yup, it's true. When i tried at 5 in the morning the other day was the 1st time i've been able to get onto it in 4 or 5 days.

I'm pretty damn (can I say damn?) fed up with nationstates. I'm thinking about quiting if the site doesn't improve. I can't even get into the UN part anymore, which makes my membership to the UN useless and my UN Delegate status useless as well. Good game but flawed in execution.

The site got, in its first month, something like ten times the traffic it expected. (I got this from the forums.) I'm willing to forgive and forget a while longer, because it's not like this is a conspiracy to annoy the players.

Hey, cool, I ignored it for like a week because of the lag. Now I come back and I have 69 million people! Wahoo. I guess I'll stay at CoNSquad, although the Lounge does have a better chance of being a powerhouse.
