I play FF3 for SNES, because the ones for PS are #@*!ing expensive, and we got that one for free. (isn't it great when other people are spring cleaning)
Though I would just to play the one for SP (to see Edgar as a REALish person).
Yeah... huh.gif

I play them all. Each has something different to offer. Unlockable items, original feel, superior translation, etc... Why can't we play them all?

I play using the emulator just because I like playing games on the computer more than playing them on a TV. It's nice having everything right in your face instead of looking at a screen from a distance. The only advantage with the SNES is that I have a much better sound system for the TV than I do for the computer.

Do you think that it's fair to vote when I share the same system as JuneLovesLOTR?
Well, it should be obvious what I voted for.

I have it for SNES, PSX, and Emulated. I almost always play my cartridge just because I like controllers, and laying down. (No controler for my comp sad.gif )The PS one also has load times and slightly diferent graphix, etc. which can be odd. I'm an oldschool gamer.

I play on emulator for the following reasons:

-super 2x sai engine on ZSNES makes things look about 20x better than a TV.
-I have sabin's blitzes auto-programmed to my keypad buttons ( biggrin.gif )
-I have a decent joystick that basically serves as a SNES controller
-better sound on computer than on TV
-can pause at any time
-can add game genie codes (if I feel like it) without actually buying a game genie.
-fast forward button
-very very comfortable computer chair

I've had the game on the console SNES for... years. Countless years. thumbup.gif

I've got the SNES FF3 I think I play that the most. Next would be my emulator cause I can mess around with the game if I'm bored. Third would be FF Anthology
because it has some new stuff.

I was playing an emulated version, but in a freak tragedy of sorts, I lost my file when a friend of my father's deleted a bunch of stuff on my computer.......and now, no FF6 sad.gif

I play SNES, Japanese (Super Famicom, I got both that and FF4j from my grandmother who lived in Japan years ago), and FF Anthology versions. I do have an emulated version just in case I ever want to hack into anything, but unfortunately have yet to find a suitable hacking program that will run on my computer. I play FF3US and FF6j about equally (even though I can't understand a whole hell of a lot in the latter version) because I just like playing the games on the TV rather than the computer. Gives more of that nostalgic feeling than my keyboard can pull off (I save that for Apple II games tongue.gif ).

I play Anthology really just for the unlockables and FF5. FF6 on Anthology just runs too freakin' slowly for me to want to play it over 'n' over.

So true... Pitty they didn't have the patience to make a nearly decade old game, (at the time), run as well as it did on the original 3.58MHz system. Even more the pity that they failed to include an option to make use of a the extra speed of the PS2 if it was present. I've only played one game in the Anthology version. sad.gif

I play FF3 SNES. Emulators on our Compy are a no-no according to dad. So alas, I play on the good old Super Nintendo, being a faithful Nintendo slave.

Wee! My poll is getting more hits than my brother's!
Anyway, I so want to play Anthology! *sigh* to see Edgar as anime and not a sprite wub.gif
So it's really that slow on the PS? *muffled cursing*
*Sigh* I'm still going to ask for it at Christmas.

If you've played the SNES version, then Anthology will be a variable HELL of loading times. If you get it, then it's either as a collector's item or a worthless paperweight (guess which my copy is). The only thing I got out of it that was worth the 18 bucks was confirmation of the Locke/Celes bug. At the very least, I got to laugh at Square for their lazy attempt at milking the cash cow (and Squeenix too since this was the Greatest Hits version I confirmed it on). Oh sure, they fixed Banon on a Chocobo, but when you replace a graphics bug with an easy-to-find game-breaking bug, you don't exactly look good afterward.

As for me, the only version I play is FF3us v1.0 w/ Test patch. Screw normal play, I like my omnipotent menus. Cleaver Wind Slash, Joker Doom, Palidor, HyperDrive, Calmness... I refuse to ever give that power up. >:)

1.0 ROM only. Screw the bugfixpatches I say, they might intervene in my bughunts. On the other hand, I haven't played a 'clean' game in years as I mainly mess around with the data and start the game to see if it gives me crap or not.

My game is one of a kind, yo wub.gif

I play it on the playstation cause i don't have another choise and this is also the reason why my nick name is different than the siegfried on the SNES cause on the psx he is called Ziegfried

I first played it on the SNES quite a while ago, and I have definitely played it that way more often. I bought Anthology, but haven't finished playing FFVI all the way through on it yet >_>

I play FF3 US. I still have the cartridge and the system and both still work. I also have the rom, all the rom variations, and the anthology version. The anthology version is the worst because there the loading times are LONG mad.gif .

I have the original, and beat it first on the SNES. These days i use the ROM. I mean i don't use the rom. Because that would be illegal wink.gif

I traditionally play FFVI on the Super Nintendo (thats the first time I can think of that anyone has used the full name instead of SNES on this website). But I've started a super file on ZSNES. By super I mean I'm going to make all my characters more powerful than the gods. Also, my controller for my SNES is sort of dying.

I originally played on the SNES, but now the only copy I have is the one for Playstation. I don't see what everyone complains about. Sure, the loading times are a bit longer, but when you're playing a video game, it's not like you're pressed for time or anything, and also, it's better than nothing.

I don't see what everyone complains about.

When a company can't make a piece of decade old software run properly a far more sophisticated console, people should complain. It's not the end of the world, but it's not much to expect. Many people only have a small amount of time to play and a few minutes can sometimes mean a lot.

I have a slow internet connection, so waiting for things to load is not a problem for me. The new graphics would be way worth it.

FF6 for ye-olde-but-not-quite-as-olde-as-the-SNES PS1. In the UK (and hopefully in some other places too), it came with a free frisbee in the shape of an FF X demo that was 1) also on the cover disc of an OPSM I had bought months before and 2) was a demo to game I had already finished when in bought 6.. Value for flipping money or what?

And I can't say there were long loading times on my disc. 2-3 seconds at most, a good day for my PS1.
