Could anyone tell me of a code to have instant access to about fifteen pairs of dragoon boots and fifteen dragon horns? Is there a 'have such-and-such an item' code? If someone could supply me with a way of having enough Dragon Boots and Dragon Horns to equip on every character right from the beginning of the game, I'd be most grateful.

Why would you want this code in the first place, if I may ask?

Use this rom editor to equip those items on all characters before you even get them. Just click on the character attributes button and you should see editable relic slots for each character.

Thanks. I was actually thinking of trying to go through the game using ONLY Jump. With the exceptions of the battle with Vargas where you must use Blitz, etc.

Your random battles are going to be tediously long but I hope you have fun in the process. It's certainly a unique way of going through the game and will put you in the record books. tongue.gif

Couldn't you just get a code to give you the esper that makes the party jump? (Palidor I believe...)

Yes, it is Palidor, but Palidor takes MP to use, when Jump is free.

Well, one could always D/L the Test patch from my site instead. If all you want is Jump and/or Palidor, the last menu does have Jump already and can easily have Palidor installed and both put at the top of the list so you don't have to go to the 255 spell list for Palidor or scroll at all to get to Jump. Plus, the Test patch nulls MP cost for characters so Palidor would always be free.

Of course the test patch is a good idea, but it might be too tempting to take the easy way out of tougher battles...
Another idea you could try would be to edit the ROM to change all your character's Fight commands into Jump commands... This would save you a relic slot, but there would be problems using Magitek, or playing the Fanatics' Tower (Jump would not become Magic, as Fight normally does), not to mention Gau (you'd have to change Rage into Jump). If you can live with that..then this might be the best answer.

After much fiddling, I'm embarrassed to say I don't have a clue how to use that thing. The ReadMe confuses me. Please, forgive my computer-related idiocy.

"That thing" doesn't help when there are two options on the table. Are you talking about FF3usME or the Test patch?

That would be better, considering that some characters come pre-equipped with relics (Ghost with Relic Ring, Leo with Offering, etc.), but then again, would those characters be affected? (I don't know squat about ROMs or anything like that)

Sorry, the FF3usME. I don't really have a clue when it comes to Rom editing/hacking/whatever. I know, it annoys me too.

I know, it's annoying, but I'd be really grateful if someone could give me directions as to how to use the FF3usME, I'd be most grateful. I know there's a ReadMe, but... wink.gif

Sorry for the double post.

It's pretty straight-forward. You open it, "File", "Open", find the actual rom you're playing and all kinds of info you should recognize pops up. Change whatever you want, and Save.

Oh, and switch to 1024 x 800 if you haven't already, the screen is too big for 800 x 600 and you won't be able to click 'OK' here and there.

Oh, I've been trying that. Open FF3usME, open the FF6e rom using Open. Nothing happens. Stays the same, only "Untitled" changes to "FF6e."
