I've debated so many times with myself whether I should post this here or not, but after Sabs talked with me a bit about it, I think I'll just go ahead with it.

The Complete guitar, bass, and drum tab of Shadow's theme, tabbed and rearranged by yours truly.

Like it says in the tab, I used two other people's versions to help build this tab, so it actually represents hours of work from three different people, working separately. This has been a project to make the most complete and accurate tab of Shadow's theme anywhere, and it's turned out to have the only actual drum tab of it around, too. ^-^;

So, eh... there you have it. Shadow's theme, all tabbed out for anyone here who can play any of those three instruments. If anyone can spot errors or has a different, more correct part to add, please do so in a post or by emailing me... anything that can make this a more perfect, community-type project would be great. =D

I've been a little too shy about posting it for too long... ^^

Cool. Now I can play this on my guitar.
But first I'd have to learn how to play my guitar.

Heheheheh. tongue.gif

Actually, I think this should be one of those songs they teach to beginning guitarists, 'cause it's really easy, but the "solo" part can give you a good feel for how those faster, heavy metal solos are done. =D

Uhhhh, maybe I'm just out of the loop, but I'm pretty sure avis are video files, not music files...

You should give SPCs a shot.

You can find a complete soundtrack download in spc format at the bottom there, but you'll also need a WinRAR extractor and Winamp with SPC plugins to play them back. All the necessary links to utilities are given there, too. happy.gif A little bit 'o work, but oh so worth it... they sound just like the music from the game! =D

That's cool, Zephir.

I'll try it out sometime later. My guitar's probably horribly out of tune; I haven't played it in several months so something like Shadow's awesome theme would be a good excuse to get it out again.

That's very cool. I'd play it on the drums, but unfortuetely I can't read drum music (sux huh?)

lol, how the heck are you gonna play drums and not be able to read drum tabs?! XD

Kidding, kidding. :-P It's actually a stupid simple drum line, and you could probably whip up a more accurate one for me if you could listen and tab it (I don't play drums, so it was touch-and-go on the drum tab o.o').

Personally I think the tab is well written but it needs like two missing notes. In Measure one when it goes on the b string 19-17-19 you should hit 15 real quick on the high e. Then on the second measure instead of 19-17 then 15 on the e it should go 19-17-19 on the b then on the g hit 15 then go back to the b and hit 15-17. When I tabbed this I had something relevent to that but I think this would sound much better.

Measure one suggestion: following the .spc file (direct rip from the game) the sequencing is correct; it follows note for note the pattern. That's the "extra note" I removed from Deezer's tab that "didn't really make sense". Unless you think the pitch isn't high enough on that note in which case the 15 makes sense, but a bent 19 or 21 or so would also get a similar pitch.

Measure two suggestion:

Code
|------19------19-17-15----------|--------------------------------||
|--17-------------------19-17----|--15--17------------------------||
|-----------------------------15-|--------------------------------||
|--------------------------------|--------------------------------||
|--------------------------------|--------------------------------||
|--------------------------------|--------------------------------||

This actually sounds better, yes... thumbup.gif

New version, yo!

I still think it is missing those notes... I guess I'll just have to make my version.

Well, I follow along note for note and I don't hear the extra notes you're adding, which is why I removed them from my tabs. I've listened to the theme hundreds of times in a row with the volume up very intently and there are only ten notes in each of the three main measures. I was only shooting for accuracy, not trying to make it sound better than the original.
