I actually counted through the top 100 posters a while ago, out of curiosity, and I counted 8 females out of the 100 people. Of course, I didn't know everyone's gender, so there may have been more. I did, however, know 8 of the people to be female. -------------------- I had an old signature. Now I've changed it. |

Shouldn't you just check peoples' profiles if your interested in everyone's gender?

Male.
I sometimes think that females are somewhat superior to a lot of us males. On average, they certainly seem to behave better than a lot of the guys out there. Though, if you compare females to the males who aren't overly pumped up on testosterone, then I believe us to be entirely equal. Mind you, there are always exceptions. The profiles may give us an indication of which gender a specific person is but they don't give us an general picture of the CoN populace. |

I think the reason there are so few female posters on gaming boards is because many prefer not to reveal their gender (not saying that'd boost the number considerably, but there wouldn't be nearly as few), especially at certain sites *cough*GameFAQs*cough* where doing so is usually wise. -------------------- Words of Wisdom: If something can go wrong, it will. I can understand some women wanting to hide their gender on boards. I post at ALOT of boards, and know how creepy some people can be when they find a person on the boards who is female.
