Florida Gators!! Even though they didn't do well last season, they have potential for getting better. Besides, they're the only team that beat LSU (champion from last season)
Moderator Edit The thread from which this was split was 2 years old. The posts at the beginning of the thread had nothing to do with the posts at the end, because two full football seasons have passed in between. Maybe it will be more relevant this way. -R51 Sorry about that!! My favorite team is UGA, because that's where I go. I hear that my boys are number 1 in the polls going into the season, which is awesome if it's true. 6 home games, including LSU, GA Tech, and Tennessee. I can't wait. It's the year of the Bulldogs...

The Gators are one of my two schools too. I was almost a UFL student way back in the day, it was on my short list of schools. They underperformed last year and I think the conference will be tough on them this year too. I think they'll be third in the conference.
Another team in desperate need of improvement is my Alma Mater, Illinois. I don't think they'll be THAT much better than last year, sadly. -------------------- "To create something great, you need the means to make a lot of really bad crap." - Kevin Kelly Why aren't you shopping AmaCoN? |

the Fighting Irish can't sink down further than they did last season. I'm looking forward to a Notre Dame turnaround this year!

Quote (io_rage @ 27th July 2004 12:45) My favorite team is UGA, because that's where I go. I kinda liked you io, it's unfortunate we now have to be bitter, bitter enemies. I support the Jackets, but that doesn't bring me a lot of pleasure to see my favorite team beaten and battered so instead... I'm looking forward to LSU bringing the pain to UGA this season. I've been using them in NCAA 2005 and I can tell you in full confidence they have a good team this year. ![]() -------------------- "That Light has bestowed upon me the greatest black magic!" |

Purdue, here. We're going to be pretty good. Most of our offense returns, including our QB who is going to have a great season. The big question is our defense, but that's what we've been known for, so we should go to a high-profile bowl.

Since I am from Ohio my team is THE Ohio State University, the best damn team in the nation. I loved it when my college (BGSU, a mid-major crap team) played OSU last year and everyone was telling me to cheer on my school. Well I grew up a Buckeyes fan and that is who I cheered for, I was the only one enjoying the party when OSU beat my school. Other then that I also cheered for Notre Dame when I was younger and still do, can't go wrong with tradition, they made college football into what it is today.

Ahhh, and the glories of College Football return. I'm sure -- judging from the amount of people that go to college -- that there are some who are just as eager as I am about the new season. I myself am a Hokie fan. Have been for...I dunno, a long time. Despite the loss of our pot-smoking, alledged-rape-suspect former QB, Marcus Vick, I think we have a good chance of getting somewhere this year. Yes, I understand that we now have some competition with us moving to the ACC and all, but I still feel we have potential. Our QB, Bryan Randall, is looking exceptionally well this season. He never got much playing time last season because of Vick-boy and his "I'll-run-the-ball-even-if-I-have-a-receiver-open" style of play. With some more training, Randall will be as good as any QB, quite possibly one of the best around.

So..yeah. Still like Georgia, because I still go there. Though now it looks like they are either 3 or 4 in the polls, depending on where you look. I don't think that'll last, because USC will lose a game pretty early on. The Georgia/LSU game (at which I'm'a be on the 50-yard line, 20 rows up, hells yeah) is probably going to decide who's going to play against Oklahoma in the championship game. Gooooooooooooooooo dogs!

I have no real strong college allegiances besides UIC, which has no football team, and Northwestern, who only sometimes has a football team. This year my team's going to be Fresno State, who has a good chance to go undefeated and be left out of the national championship game, thus bringing the stupid BCS down in the process.

Wow. Who caught that LSU game this weekend? That would have been a wonderful upset. Oh well. I'm sure we'll have plenty before the year is over.
