I find Gogo to be extremely useful. I often don't use him simply because I have my main four named after good friends and consequently use them, but in multi-party situations he is invaluable. Put him with three other people and give him a couple skills they don't have....voile, you've got like 5 people to choose from (ability wise anyways)

GOGO CAN BE GOOD IF YOU PUT HIM THE CORRECT ABILLITIES, LIKE:

MAGIC, LORE, BLITZ.

OR

TOOLS, SWRD TECH, RAGE.

OR FINALLY

BLITZ, RAGE , MAGIC

ANYTHING ELSE CAN END IN DISASTER!!!

Yes. Gogo is basically three people in one- Mimic, SwdTech, Blitz, Tools...helps me a bunch.

no butt I have the game on the playstation and there his name is ziegfried.

I love using him mainly because of access to all spells in battle and is a really usefull character to me.

That's not true, he can only use the spells that people in your party already know. Try having just him in a party and try to cast magic....

gogo is useful because he can use any technique except morph. if you go to the status screen you can equip any abilities on him

I agree...
I had him in my party, with Celes, Sabin and Cayenne (Cyan)...
Sometimes I substituted him with Umaro...

Three things:
First, I have seen Ziegfried spelled BOTH ways (in the SAME game)
Second,you two bickering is driving me nuts!
Third, Ziegfried's name isn't the topic
BTW, Ziegfried, "butt" is not the word your looking for. The correct spelling is "but". (I used to make the same mistake)

To stay on topic, I like to have Gogo on my team with Sabin because I can use mantra on Sabin.

Gogo is good if you use him right. Lots of people don't know how or don't feel that he's worth the time to get used to since he does less damage and can only mimic things. Personally I hated him for a long time but I really enjoy using him in my party from time to time now that I understand how to use him better.

Gogo is one of the best characters in the game simply because of his flexablity. Unfortunately he comes so late that you cant use him to emulate characters that you are deprived of early in the game, but he is still extremely useful - though by the time you have him any of your other characters should be just as deadly.

I like to keep him in my party and rotate his skills for variety, but I almost always have steal on him for some extra thief action. By the time you get him you dont realy need blitzes anymore because magic can duplicate anything that they can do and ethers are plentiful, so just load him up and blast away.

As soon as I got Gogo, he never left my (main) party. I just like the consistent 9999 damage by giving him 'Throw' having him throw a Tack Star, waiting for his turn, then Mimicing it. Works even better when using just Gogo. Gogo just rules.

Gogo seemed to be a tired answer from the programmers for a fourteenth character, but I'm not complaining. Despite the demi-gods that my characters have become, there just doesn't seem to be anything like two Bum Rushes in a row.

Gogo can be good if you equip him with the right abilities and such. However the great thing about FFVI is that any character can be great with the right weapons/armor/accessories, and leveling up. You cannot say that about other FF games, like FFIV where Edward is worthless no matter how you cut it.

That can be said of any character of any game.

Stat growth above Lv 70 isn't fixed in FFIV, and Edward has the best possible stat growth of any character.

Gogo is actualy a carry-over from Final Fantasy V. He's hard to find, and it took me several tries to figure out what he means when he gives you the tip on how to beat him, but when you do so, he gives you the final job crystal. He's the only character to ever be directly taken from one game to another (Except Cloud in FFT, but that was just an easter egg). Though, he wasnt a player in V.
