Thanks, Anything/one else i need to worry about before embarking on to the next world? Im just putting magic on people right now, I guess i need to start putting more magic on Terra cause it looks like shes going to be a "have to" character coming up. Oh and Incase anyone cares, I found out something odd. In the PSX version of the game [dont know about the others] when Celes and Locke are suppossed to go to the opra house together, you can unequip locke, and if you do, when you go in the opra house, the game freezes up because hes suppossed to walk up and talk but sinces hes not in your party the game just screws up. Funny huh?

Make sure:
-Mog gets his water dance before you go. -You grabbed the Atma Weapon. -If you want all of Gau's rages, that you faced all the WOB exclusive monsters at least once. -Stock up on Genji Gloves by stealing from the Dragons on the floating isle, if you want some. -Wait for shadow before you jump :-x Uh I guess that's it. It's been awhile since I played the whole way through the game, I've cleaned out my closet the other day and found my Super Nintendo and been wasting away again at FF3 :-x. I think you should also make sure you have Edgar's Tools; I don't think you can buy the first 5 in the WOR but I dunno, its been awhile maybe you can. I didn't know that about the PS version. I play ff3 on the SNES cartridge, the battles seem to go faster on the SNES version. -------------------- -I like you- ...probably. |

Yes, you can. You could also Steal them if you get desperate there, but I'm too lazy to check up on which monsters give what Tool so I'll just say that Figaro Castle will keep selling all Tools it did in the WoB with the added feature of the Debilitator in the WoR if you missed it earlier.

IIRC, you gotta have like 3 minutes left on the timer... and Shadow will arrive at ~6 seconds left.

Quote (Wind God Gau @ 26th August 2004 06:01) IIRC, you gotta have like 3 minutes left on the timer... and Shadow will arrive at ~6 seconds left. Shadow will show as long as you get there before you have five seconds left on the timer. Even if I'm wrong and it's more like ten seconds, it's certainly not as long as three minutes. -------------------- "To create something great, you need the means to make a lot of really bad crap." - Kevin Kelly Why aren't you shopping AmaCoN? |

You have to have approached the edge once before time timer disappears at around 6 seconds and selected to wait. Then, the next time you approach the edge, the option will change to "Gotta wait for Shadow!" or something comparable.

*wants to be redicuosly dizzy* on a side not about the floating content i have found that if you dont put celes on your team when you go to fight there make sure she is still equiped on the air ship. this will save alot of time when it's breaking apart.

Ingmaru(or something i forget what it is exactly). Big invisible dude on the North East island (where you fight the worm that eats you in WoR). No clue what his hp's are, but since he starts off vanished, just cast doom and he dies on the spot. Be careful though, he casts meteor when he dies, so you need something like 2k hp, can't remember exactly. i just remember i always got all my characters max ap before i beat the floating continent, since he coughs up 10ap each kill

Corrections to BigDave87's post:
The monster's name is Intangir, and you find him on "Triangle Island", which is a medium-sized island you should be able to find in the NE corner of the world map. On the island are Leafers, Dark Winds, and Intangirs. They start off vanished, have around 25000 HP, and absorb all elements (I'm not sure if non-elemental magic can damage them, but I don't feel like finding out right now.) Intangirs will evade any physical attack when invisible, and will attack with Meteo and then "Sleep" (which puts them back invisible) if attacked by magic (i.e. made visible); their Meteo attack deals about 900-1200 damage. Intangirs have "Petrify" status protection, but are vulnerable to instant-death attacks; however, use of Doom will still produce an at-death counterattack of Meteo. I've heard that Mog's Snare skill (in one of his dances, I forget which one) can eliminate that final counter. -------------------- Check the "What games are you playing at the moment?" thread for updates on what I've been playing. Dusk Requiem offers the best chance for Mog to use Snare.

Dusk Requiem? You crazy? If you aren't lucky enough to hit Snare, the attacks performed are going to remove that oh-so precious clear status or invoke a Meteo, causing you the cry in agony in front of your screen.
Gau is your pick here as the physical attack won't cause any counters or removes Clear and Snare kills. -------------------- |

/shrug.
i just had all my chars with 2000hp and cast doom on him and he dies. it wasn't hard at all. just level up on the floating continent, then when you have enough hp, get max ap. -------------------- "Doesn't expecting the unexpected, make the unexpected expected?" |

Quote (BrandonLandon @ 22nd August 2004 22:16) I didn't know that about the PS version. I play ff3 on the SNES cartridge, the battles seem to go faster on the SNES version. I noticed that myself. Even an emulated copy runs faster than the PSX version. At least they fix the spelling on "Fenix Down" though. You can take Intigers in the WOB or the WOR (I belive), of course, it makes it much easier though the second half of the game if you load up on spells before the floating continent, and you have to deal with Zone Eaters on the triangle island in the WOR. Mmm.. lets see, you can get Starlet in the WOB if you are willing to shell out the cash. Early acces to Cure 3 is nice, but you can get her later for cheaper. The Water Rondo... the WOB Rages for Gau... genji gloves... I think that about covers it. You could get the Hero Ring from the house that turns into the colloseum if you want, but it's hardly a big deal. |
