I'm almost positive there is another thread on this subject, but I'm too lazy to link you, so I'll just tell you:

1) You can only get Deep Dungeon in Chapter 4, after finishing the St. Murond battles but before entering Orbonne Monastery. Head to Warjilis, watch the mandatory bar scene where Ramza hears about Deep Dungeon, then head to the dungeon itself when the scene is over.

2)The exit spots in the Deep Dungeon levels are random, but not random. Let me explain. There are four or five spots in each level that will always serve as an exit, whether it be hidden in the enemy lines or two panels behind you. Among these five (or however many), at the start of each DD battle, one of these spaces will be chosen to serve as the exit. You'll have to choose.

I do remember a couple though:

NOGIAS - There is a zero H panel height at the bottom that sometimes is the exit.
VALKYRIES - Around the sleep and death sentence traps, the sunken part towards the side of the screen
MLAPAN - The two-panel ledge will have one of the squares the exit, occassionally.

Hey, don't worry about it. Just make sure your characters aren't the ones crystallizing. happy.gif
