All right, now here is a new question: what FFVI character would you REALLY want to be? For example, though you all think Shadow is a badass, I doubt few of you would really want to deal with your best friend asking you to run him through then having to kill off your emotions. While Cyan has his high morality and valour, I doubt many would want to watch their families and kingdoms stripped away from them. Likewise, many may not want to deal with all of Edgar responsibilities and personal battles (not knowing where your brother is, if he is okay, etc.)
So who would you REALLY want to be? I choose one of the rich men at the Jidoor auction house. I wouldn't have a care in the world as I would be filthy rich, probably with close ties to the Empire. Also, Possible spoilers: highlight to view it looks as if Jidoor wasn't too drastically altered, except for when the end of the WoB comes around Possible spoilers: highlight to view So basically, throughout my life during the game my only worry would be what to spend my money on, and shutting up my bratty child with lavish presents. Owzer. What about you? This post has been edited by Stephen the Third on 8th August 2004 00:19 -------------------- Je ne t'aime plus, Mon amour... Je ne t'aime plus, Tous les jours... |

I'd say Sabin. Just like Sabin I take matters into my own hands, and make things happen. When I know I would be better off somewhere else, I go there to be more productive.
I am also a very confident and able person. This post has been edited by SuperManBoy on 8th August 2004 00:07 -------------------- "Look at me! I'm a receptionist! G'fa ha ha!" Quote Ultros |

Would you really want to deal with the responsiblity of saving the world from Kefka and facing almost certain death, though, SuperManBoy? I know that I wouldn't do well in that situation

Well, I'd like to be some guy in Jidoor always betting at the auction. Or, I might like to be Setzer, though I really don't have any intrests in gambling...

The rich man's child. Imp robot's, talking chocobo's, and model Airship's! Now that would be a good life. At least untill all the other kid's realize that I'm a spoiled little brat, and decide to beat the tar outta me. Than I'd make daddy hire a bodygaurd!

I'd probably be one of the behind the scenes tactical planners for the Returners. Of course, then I'd probably end up dead. Or fired when Celes shows up. Or dead AND fired when Celes shows up!
I also want to be some sort of swordwielder as well, maybe Siegfried. -------------------- My soul is bound to the Mistress of the Afterlife, and my fealty is to her always. So let's just hope she doesn't use it as one of her ten daily meals. |

Yeah, the folks at Jidoor had it good throughout the game. Wealthy and safe during the Empire's evil reign, still wealthy and relatively uneffected during the WoR.
They had the best of..... BOTH WORLDS! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Geez, I entertain myself way to easily. -------------------- Je ne t'aime plus, Mon amour... Je ne t'aime plus, Tous les jours... |

That's true, you would have thought that the Empire would have messed around with them more considering their assests.

I always assumed, SuperManBoy, that Jidoor was closely tied to the Empire whether it be through trade or funding. After all, Setzer does say that the "Empire has made [him] a rich man."

I'd definitely be Locke, even though I don't like him much. See, Edgar is the man, but he never gets any womens. Locke does, and he gets to steal stuff.

Stealing stuff would definitely be a plus, as would getting all the ladies... But I don't know if I would want to have to deal with losing Rachel.
I'm still going for living in my little safe haven: Jidoor. Though Setzer is mighty tempting... -------------------- Je ne t'aime plus, Mon amour... Je ne t'aime plus, Tous les jours... |

I'd be Duncan. He is the best fighter in the world, he's experienced, AND he survived the World of Ruin.
AND he gets to kill ppl. That could just be wishful thinking however -------------------- I fear my heart and fear my soul Life goes on, it surely will, Without me and I wonder: Will I ever see light again? Life goes on... |

Well, Adma, the answer is clear: my words are like little golden, poison darts of humour. At first, when they hit you there is a slightly painful prick. Over time, however, you are treated to a wonderfully enjoyable growing sensation of uncontrollable laughter.

It would be interesting to be an esper in the esper world, or the guy in the auction house that always bids 1 000 000 GP. Then you could own the 1/1200 of an airship, the imp robot, and the chocobo. But I think I would be Sabin because he's strong and proud. Even though I would have to battle Kefka and save the world, it's better than expecting someone else to do it.

I'd want to be Celes. Former general...awesome. But I don't think that I'd be able to deal torturing people, or being locked down in that basement of South Figaro, but other than that being Celes would be...interesting...The opera and Locke would definitely be plusses.
-------------------- You know why FFVIII sucks? It's pretty much this: 'Hey, look here's a really tough boss that levels up as we level up. We can't use any items without having to equip GFs, so let's equip 'em. Oh, and while we're at it, let's Junction 50,000 HP and kill the thing.' If you ask me, that was one of the worst FF games ever, alongside X-2. |

Definitely Setzer. Sweet ride, a fully-equipped casino at my fingertips, plenty of cash, of course I'd have to be the Scooby Gang's taxi service all through the WoB/WoR, but it's all good.
Except I'd want to be female. So Daryl, I suppose. But not dead. =Þ Edit 100th post. w00t. This post has been edited by LadyRed on 15th August 2004 04:10 |

I'd be that Bird, that's like, everywhere. I mean, not only did that sucker survive the world ending, but he gets the lowdown on all the action. He's a bird in the know.
But in all seriousness, I'd probably still be Terra. Her only real issue is being half esper, half human, and personaly, I'd get a kick out of it! As for saving the world, I love a challenge. Then again, the idea of being Maria is appealing. If she looks like Celes, and Setzer is after her... Why not!? -------------------- TURKEY! - (The only way not to get blocked for using Fowl Language) |

I'd totally be the old guy on the Falcon. Your job is so easy, all you have to do is unequip people and you get free rides on the fastest airship in the world!
If not him, then I'd also be the old guy in the Narshe weapon shop. He looks so content in that place. -------------------- SPEKKIO: "GRRR...That was most embarrassing!" |

I'd be the guy who says, "I'm a magic researcher. The monsters on this continent have only weak magic." Why would a magic researcher be in a place without serious magical creatures? VACATION!!! Of course, I'd die when the world ended, so then I'd be the guy in Zozo who says, "Time? It's 2 o'clock." I like to lie.
