But Sephiroth is more Godly. If a few kids could take down Seymour, how can he be better? Admittedly, Seymour does have some moves, but I think in terms of skill and strength, Spehiroth would win.
Also, I think you're a little too biased. I don't think you're open at all to Sephiroth. -------------------- "I'm so awesome, I quote myself" - MasterBahamut07 |

I like the fact you put "Tough Question" as an answer in the poll. I think it adds a touch of class to an otherwise dismal poll choice.

It could be worse, TA. It coulda been Aeris vs. Tifa. (which, as we all know, Tifa would win hands down)
But I digress. Sephiroth vs. Maester Seymour. I say Seymour. Not even a contest, really. Seymour has the power of Sin and Anima at his disposal. Really... Sephiroth just can't compete with that. He's a crazy momma's boy with a big sword to compensate for his... erm.... other shortcommings. Quote (GamblingCat @ 27th July 2004 12:44) All Sephiroth has is 10 foot long sword and a metoer, big deal, so I say Seymour. Well to get technical he didn't even have meteor at his disposal in battle, he only had it to Possible spoilers: highlight to view .damage the Earth Now, while Seymour has better minions at it summon Sephiroth seems to be able to match that in strength (to me anyway) so on this I'm gonna have to vote tough question. -------------------- Climhazzard is the timeless evil robot who runs some of the cool stuff at CoN (mostly logging chat, since there are no quizzes at the moment), all the while watching and waiting for his moment to take over the world. -Tiddles |

What are you quoting from?
I think a far more interesting question is who would win: Seymour or Kefka. -------------------- Join the Army, see the world, meet interesting people - and kill them. ~Pacifist Badge, 1978 |

That was a direct quote from FFVII, right after you see him playfully toy with a dragon that is a reasonably difficult monster for your whole party to fight later in the game. On the way to Nibelheim in "Cloud's Past".

It seems that the Sephiroth supporters are actually open to both sides of the argument, while the Seymour ones are just throwing insults at Sephiroth.

...Sephiroth is a Sephiwuss...the first time I played FFVII his strength was incredibly awesome at the first, but...when I got Cloud's Ultima weapon and his level to 50 he was more stronger than Sephiroth anyway...his power ain't all that I mean look at his HP/MP and his magic spirit it just sucks...

hey, sephiroth would win.look at the battles.safer sephiroth versus anima.first safer has 160000 hp anima has 18000 hp.and seymour has 6000 hp.even seymour omnis, has just 80000 hpand sin has 140000sephiroth casts super nova, seymour dead, anima heavily damaged. (super nova does aprox 6000-9000 dmg.another super nova, anima is dead too.now if seymour attacks first, lets say in his omnis form,he casts firaga or another element spell 4 times, thats 5000 damage to sephiroth.safer sephiroth has 160000 hp,meaning seymour omnis has to attack 32 X. sephiroth has to cast super nova 9 X,and seymour is dead.now for anima, animas pain is 700 damage, with the death status.but sephiroth is imune for all status effects.so seymour cannot win.and sin?well, none of sins attacks are truly powerfull, and giga-gravitation woulden work because of sephiroths ability to fly.it would miss.its easy to hit a big airship, but a fast flying sephiroth is difrent.thats all.

Hamedo- Good Point. And MB07, I wan't trying to make insults to Sephiroth, I mean it would be tough question on who would win, but it would just seem that Seymour would win because of
Possible spoilers: highlight to view , It would be a tought fight but they would not have different HP differeces, the match would be fair on stats, HP, and Mp for them, the verdict would be determined by waht attacks they use on each other. Maybe you didn't, but dragoon lancer sure did. What you posted that I took as an insult towards Sephiroth was the ten foot long sword and meteor comment.

Interesting post. I loathe Sephiroth like the cookie cutter bishonen anime bad guy he is. I loathe Seymour for being a Sephiroth wannabe, albeit with cooler hair.
Personally, it depends on what kind of fight you are talking about. If its just the men themselves, no summons, no alternate forms, and the fight was real time; I'd say Sephiroth. He's fast and strong, he'd dice up Seymore in no time before the mage even got his fist spell off. If it was their summons, it'd be a tie. Anima arrives and KO's Sephiroth. Then Super Nova destroys the solar system about five minutes later; everyone's a loser. If it was their alternate forms? That's hard to say, as both are real dirty fighters in their ultimate forms. I would have to say Seymore simply because he has more alternate forms and is backed by the power of Sin. Sephiroth may be assisted by the power of Jenova, but I believe Sin to be a more powerful force, hence that takes away the advantage. Sephiroths only "victory" in that case would be the Super Nova, after inflicting Syemore with every status he could possibly be vulnerable to. But Super Nova desroys the solar system, everyone loses. But I guess it would be a moral victory all around in that case: Sephiroth wants the world to be destroyed anyway. Seymore wants to be part of Sin who wants the human race destroyed anyway. Kefka wants to screw people over, so destroying the solar system would be perfect for him. Chaos, Zeromus, and Ex-Death wish for all things to become as the void, or some equivalent there of, so it works for them. Yep. Moral victory to all. Or most. Or something. You see why a lot of threads like this end up closed? Could we imagine a dumber argument than what took place earlier in this thread?
