I know that there have been topics over casting calls for FFVI and maybe someothers. This is for any Squarenix character, FF1-X, and CT and CC
Who do you think could play Magus, Barret, Cloud, Sephiroth, or Kain?
I can't think of many actors/actresses for the time being, though.

the only one i can think of at the time is Catherine Zeta Jones(i think that's how it's spelled) as Edea.

Barret: a much bigger Will Smith
Zidane: some makeup, a tail, and a wig on Seth Green

Actually, I think Catherine Zeta-Jones would make a pretty good Lulu.

Lady Red's got a point about Lulu. I think that gwenyth paltrow would make a good quistis, and jessica simpson would be a good celes. I also think that either of the olsen twins would be a perfect rikku.

Well, Rikku looks too healthy and not-starving-to-death for the Olson twins.

Anyway:

Sephiroth (FF7): I can't imagine that anyone could suffice (maybe if James Woods was younger diesel and super-athletic).

Barthello (FFX): Patrick Warburton or Henry Rollins.

Cid Highwind (FF7): George Carlin

Galuf (FF5): Sean Connery

Dr. Une (FF1): Stephen Hawking

Ghost (FF6): Michael Jackson (only guy who's white enough)

Reno (FF7): Tim Roth

Rude (FF7): Bruce Willlis

Baralai (FFX): Edward Norton

Yang (FF4): Bolo Yeung

... and Catherine Zeta-Jones looks like a Lulu, but I've never actually seen her act.

Get me off this Disciplinary Committee so I can play any FF except for FF8!!!

Why not have Mr. T as Barrett from FF7, he hasn't had decent work in years.
I think the guy who played John Connor form Terminator 2 would make a good Squall.
Robin Williams should be a no-brainer for Headmaster Cid from FF8.
I think George Carlin could make a star-studded performance and grab the hearts of movie-goers everywhere as Garland from FF9, right?
Unfortunately that's all I've got for now. I'll post later when I come up with more.

I think Sean Connery would make a good FF9 Garland.

James Earl Jones could reprise his Darth Vader voice role for FF1's Garland. It'd be perfect for the "I, Garland, will knock you all down!" line.

Oh, and Danny DeVito as Mog.

Mr. T/Shaq would make a good barret(VII)
Vincent(VII) johnny depp
Edge(IV) probably jet li or jacki chan
Tidus(X) any blonde athletic surfer/waterpolo player that could get tidus's character down, could pull it off, good thing is, i personally know a guy who'd be great for the role(no name will be given)
Rufus (VII) could be played by leonardo Decaprio
Tifa(VII) maybe demi moore when she was younger... this one's a tough one

But Jack Nicholson is way too old. Even if he was able to go Joker again, it'd wouldn't pull through very good. Here was some of the actors I thought of for FFVI

My friend and I were talking about this topic today and thought that if there was an FFIX, e though all of actors would have to be kids. Oh Sherik perfect picks for FFVI Characters. I was thinking put actualy Kirsten Dunst could pull off a perfect Rikku (goood point about one of the olsen twins trying to be Rikku Ejoty just reading that part of your post makes me laugh ).

lol Funny choice, though I think Warwick Davis would be more suited to the role of Mog, given his size. (Willow, etc..) Either that or they would computer generate Mog, which seems most likely.

Definetely Mr. T for Barret. Barret was a role made for Mr. T.

Wow Sherick! I'd be first in line for that movie anyday. For Celes might I suggest Kira Knightly? (Sp?) I'm not trying to go with a POTC theme here. She just strikes me as someone who could pull of the stone cold general thing.

heh, Edge as Seph. Maybe a good choice, since most wrestlers are decent actors. Out of everyone, Seph has to be the hardest one I've come by to think of a good actor.

Come to think of it, it's hard to cast actors for FF characters since most FF characters are under the age of 24, and you don't normally see and get to know actors on TV or movies under 25.

That's true, but especially where casting teenage characters is concerned, most actors are much older than the characters they play.

Cid (FFIV) = whoever the actor is that plays Hagrid in Harry Potter movies
