this is somethingathat i said i'd make. my second of many ff6 pictures. I used pencil and ink on this one, although i had to be careful with the ink, as my mother anp brother lost my fine point inking pen. and my scanner sucks, so the imuge may not be the best
i don't think i can submit this to the fan art section because it isn't a png image, as specified, but i like thi' image. better quality, proportion at least. it's supposed t~ look a little funny because kefka is crazy. ![]() in any case, tell me what you think! ![]() -------------------- Uwee he he! |

The angle he's at is bad; parts of him look unnaturally elongated, and his arms look like they're two different lengths. I think his head looks a little big for his body, too.

Okay, I'll offer a bit of constructive criticism.
Goods: You've sucessfully executed a figure that's turned (his hips are facing the viewer, turned slightly more to his left and his torso is twisted to his right). You've got it down with each higher landmark on his body moving more toward into his twisting move (his belt buckle is starting to turn and you've completed the turn with the top of the sash). I've seen a lot of more experienced artists have trouble with rendering twisting motion but you've done a good job. Could be Better: The line quality isn't all that great. If I interpreted your media correctly, you penciled first then went over it with ink, right? Your pencil underdrawing should be your 'rough' sketch and you refine it with your pen. As it is now, the pen is very choppy (example, the cape). Another suggestion is that you take a look at art books, buy yourself a mannequin (a small wooden reposable figure) or study yourself to see the way you move. Kefka has good motion going on there with his right arm raised but his legs and left arm lowered has room for improvement. -------------------- kame, tortue, tortuga, schildkröte, tartaruga, turtle "Arthur Dent?" yes yes, as i said, my better pen was lost by my family, so i had to use a much larger point pen, so i had to use the very tip, (which was running out of ink.
i wanted to exagerate sone of the qualities of kefka in any case, but it works. i tried to use contrapasso showing he has placed more weight on 'his' left foot. i tried my best. yea, the angle isn't the best, but i'm working. this is the first pencil/ink drawing i've completed in months. nothing to do but get better i guess. i tried to keep the hip/torso/chest twist as accurate as possible. i appreciate crit. the head was messed up by the ink, unfortunately... and the wavy clothes make the his right arm seem longer... grr... i guess this isn't bad considering i drew this from memory, and have only seen the sprites of him. thanks again. -------------------- Uwee he he! |
