for give me of this topic has been made befor but i am dieing to know the answer i belive FF3/6 is the best game ever created i am wondering who els thinks this too.

Of course. No other game touches it, well maybe there are a few that come close.

I still can't decide whether FF6 FF7 or FFX is the best FF. As for best game of all time, after contending with the best Street Fighter games, and Sonic 2 and Mega Man 2, and Super Mario 3, and Streets of Rage 2, and River City Ransom... um, too close to call.

nope... not really... don't get me wrong... i'm an FF6 Fantatic (as stated by "merlin in another topic") but i have played other games just as good if not better than FF6..... although FF6 is always going to be my favorite... it is not the best ever

Although this is likely the most thought out and clever RPG I have played, you can't say that it is the best ever since you can't compare an RPG to a sports game. I am also a big fan of the Zelda series, Chronotrigger, Brain Lord is fun, and so was Dragon Warrior!!

It is one of my favorites indeed, but it's also tied with many, many other games in several different genres. I'd definitely say FF6 is the best out of the FF series, but out of all the games out there that I love, it's kinda unfair to choose just one as the best.

I, personally, think that Super Street Fighter II Turbo was the best game ever; so my answer would be 'no.' You could probably get me for 'best rpg ever played,' though.

hmm its pretty close between yes and no when i get some more answer i will see if it is the best by vote or not please keep going with it though. i personally think it is the best game ever.

FF6 is close on my list
Current Top 5 1. FFIX and FFX 2. FFVI 3. Yoshi's Island and Super Mario Kart 4. Starcraft and Brood War 5. FFTA My vote went to maybe but FF6 is really close on my list. |

Best FF? Yeah, but tactics comes in close second. Best game? Maybe, but I think I have to agree with Tryscal, in that Xenogears probably surpasses it.

I've had great experiences with a lot of games, but FFVI tops them all. No other single game has provided so much fun, though many come very close. The life situations surrounding us at the times we play games affect how much we enjoy them. I was 13 when I got FFVI in 1995 and things were great at that time. It was right before the burden of being a teenager came upon me. However more important is the game itself, which is the best blend of story, gameplay, music and atmosphere that I've ever seen in one package. It's one of those rare situations when everything comes together in such a harmonious way. Squaresoft hit a grand slam.

IMO FF6 is the second best final fantasy game (FF5 is my fav). Chrono Trigger is also better than FF6. Well, this is only comparing it to other turned based combat RPGs, if I compared it to every game I played it wouldn't even be in the top ten :/

FF6 is my fav rpg - the characters, plot, music all matches well together. Chrono trigger was good too. The newer Final Fantasies (the oens w/ 3d graphics) look cool, but I feel that the plots are getting worse and worse ...

Best RPG ever? Most probably.
Best game ever? To me the Legend of Zelda is still the greatest game ever, FFVI is a close, very close second though.

I'm still trying to decide weather I like Chrono Trigger or FF3/6 better. I haven't finnished FF3 yet, due to my sudden lack of motivation to do much of anything, so I can't really say for certain. It trumps every other game I've ever played, but Chrono Trigger is very dear to me.

Amazing game, to be sure. Easily the best Final Fantasy. But I'm not even sure it's the best RPG (close call with Skies of Arcadia), let alone the best game. I vote no.

Yes. Final Fantasy 6 is the best game ever. the next 4, in order, are FFVII, Super Metroid, Shinobi (PS2), and CT.
