Black Mage is awesome. The sprite is cool. I just like Black Magic. Go Black Mages everywhere.

Nice thread WGG. You got the Gau propaganda thing going real well there.

Anyway I chose this sprite because it shows Gau's more intelligent side, and it's also one of his best looking sprites in my opinion. Common thought has it that Gau is just a crazy uncontrollable freak, but he does cast magic well without going into a rage when needed. Also when it comes to picking FFVI sprites for avatars, there's a lesser chance that someone else will use the same avatar than if you used a menu portrait among other limited choices. I'd rather have the green haired version of this sprite from the expert versions.

I chose mine entirely out of admiration for 8-bit theater's Black Mage. He's one of the good guys, yet he is obviously evil. Very evil. Also, like Black Mage, I like pie. If only I could find some pie that is also evil

Well I'm one of those members who is guilty of changing Avatars more than Britney Spears changes breast sizes.

I chose the Kain sprite for a number of reasons.
*I like Kain and Dragoons alot for obvious reasons.
*I've yet to complete a Kain Fanfic which some members might know.
*Despite the fact I would be compared more to Cecil I relate to Kain more.
*FF4 Survivor Kain is the ultimate Badass.
*The Kain sprite looks like Dynasty Warriors 3 Ma Chao.
*It was my first Avatar and has become a part of me.

I always liked kefka, and i made my sig pic myself of him... hoping it'd be my avi, but that's ok. I drew kefka with my old comp on that crappy ball mouse i still have.

kefka's a well rounded character. and he's nuts. crazy i tell you. and that's on;y a step away from being a genius.

I'm not sure why, but it's important for me to have an avatar that isn't used by anyone else, even a "member" who posts like 10 times and then leaves for good. I originally had b-day suit from VI, but then fignuts took that, then I switched to Amarant from IX, but then someone else took that, so finally I landed on the Viking. It's an obscure enough sprite that not many people would even think to use it, but it's still pretty b.a. in its own right.

Well, I used a lughing Edgar when I first came (which GamblingCat used for a while, I'm not sure if he does anymore), and I used Sabin a couple of times, then I went through a period where I changed my avatar to a new female twice a day. During this period I used Terra, Celes, Relm, Dog (from FFIV), and some others, but I really like the female archer from FFT (because she's hawt, and I've always liked archery). After that stage was over, I used Edgart's menu pic for a while, and now, I'm back to the good ol' FFT female archer menu pic.

Well first of all it was a Mediator from FFT, cuz its my favourite job class, then i changed it to Sephiroth, but i decided that there were too many ppl with sephy's avatar, so i changed back to the mediator
