I would say Exp Egg, because I would gain experience much more quickly and then I wouldn't really NEED all the other relics as much!

Sprint Shoes. The game is easy enough to beat without any relics, but I'll be damned if I'm gonna walk through it at normal speed.

As far as the exp egg is concerned, if you want more exp, just fight the dinosaurs with only one person in your party. Add 2 exp eggs, and you get 4 x 2 x 2 the exp! (16 times!!)

Sprint Shoes, definitely. I can tolerate having weaker attacks, leveling up at the normal speed of flowing molasses, and not gaining special moves/defense, but doing so while walking? Hell, no.

Moogle Charm, assuming it worked for me. Fighting monsters almost constantly from town to town gets tiring.

I'm with Silver fork. I would like to reiterate the comment made, though, while injecting my own flair.

Later on in the game, maybe after your party splits up and has at least a small variety of items to use, then yes, the sprint shoes. Much further in the game, you can go nearly itemless if you're strong and still kick butt.
As for the moogle charm: Part of the reason to play the game is to get into fights, and wearing the charm all the time would take away from the fun. To begin with, I don't use Mog, and when I do use him I also use his charm and that is only to: 1. Raid the Cult of Kefka Tower for items, 2. Beat the Phenoix Cave, saves much toil, 3. And in Kefka's Tower. I know that many people use the charm to find "all those hidden items around Kefka's Tower." lol I know that I had my share in finding hidden squares! Ribbon, for both RL AND game. It's the perfect artifact- immune to poison, seizure, everything... I'd probably just use it for little contests though...

If the game was actually hard and my life depended on it, then I'd go with the Offering. Otherwise I'll go with the Marvel Shoes, equipped on Gau of course.

Either the Offering or the Ribbon. (the problem with the offering is that if you're like me you equip the offering and the Atma on the same character, so if he's muddled he/she can kill the entire party in one turn (at high levels 9999 damage x 4)

My answer: monsters shouldn't live long enough to hurt or cast spells on you.

As long as I get to used the Fixed Dice along with it, the Offering, my friends. I'd also like to be able to dress up like Setzer and look all sexy-like.

the sprint shoes are great... mainly becuase i agree with what's been said... i don't really need exp raised double or anything.. it's nice. but not needed...
gaunlet early on in the game is pretty helpful... to me at least... gave locke x2 attack power... 234 when everyone else is 135 is a good thing... may have been a glitch, but when you're fighting a phantom train, it helps. -------------------- Uwee he he! |

TESM, when you're fighting the Phantom Train, a mere Fenix Down helps (1 hit kill).

If I'm playing for speed, I use the PSX version, which has the dash button. That sort of makes the Sprint Shoes less critical to me. If you're talking specifically on the SNES version, that'd change things, but as such I'd say Marvel Shoes. It's like putting your characted on speed, but without all the nastiness of chemical addictions.

i voted for the exp. egg, since the characters i have currently been using
(sabin, edgar, strago, celes) don't really need any relec and the more exp.you have the better -------------------- "Have you ever seen a baby do that before?" |

Either the economizer or the experience egg. The former would allow me to rely on magic much more heavily; the latter would put me at a high enough level relative to the monsters that I might not need to rely on anything else. The downside would be that, before you get the espers, your level would be much higher if you had the experience egg, and you'd get fewer stat bonuses.

The Sprint Shoes (If there was no speed button on my emulator) or EXP EGG (If I had a speed button for my emulator), which kind of would mean I have two Relics, but the Speed Button is really a feature to my SNES emulator.
