There's this small thing that I'd like to comment on. Every time I go to the chatroom, I have to write down my 'Real Name' and the fact that my CPU needs it backwards compatible. Not a big task, but it gets tedious quick after several days/weeks. Therefore, I'd like to suggest an option that remembers your options concerning the chatroom, just like my computer remembers I'm Djibriel every time I open CoN.
Edit The Honorable Tiddles answered this question in chat. It can be done, and might even be done, but not in the near future. That's all, folks. This post has been edited by Djibriel on 26th June 2004 00:08 -------------------- |

What I've done to get around having to even go to that pag at all, is to creat a bookmark with all the nessesary information right in it.
Example: http://www.cavesofnarshe.com/chat/chat.php?client=p; nickname=YourName;realname=YourName2;legacy=false;identify=false; nsnick=YourName;timestamp=false;chromeless=true Again, this was another good idea from Tiddles. This post has been edited by Iain Peregrine on 26th June 2004 06:42 |

If you want the backwards-compatible mode, Djibriel, make legacy=true in Iain Peregrine's string. You can also safely omit "client=p;", and "nsnick=YourName;" unless you want to auto-identify (and if you do want to auto-identify, you'll need to go into chat with the right nsnick and nspass in the form and copy the URL from the resulting chat page, since the password gets mangled to stop it from showing up in anyone's URL bar).
I'll try to give the page a proper memory some day. |
