I have heard about the glitch that evasion value is completely useless, so i try to boost my characters Mblock value. I have Celes with Mblock about 109%, but she still gets hit sometimes by normal attacks. Does some enemy attacks lower your mblock value or is there somekind of a base failure roll, like rolls 96-100 always fail?

The invincibility I think you're thinking about comes at 128% MBlock, not 100.

That's right, Evade does squat, but MBlock does the real work. A value of 128 means you'll never be touched. For more reading on this, check out Master ZED's (do a member search for his profile) White Sheets. smile.gif

If it CAN miss, it WILL miss.

Though I'm sure there are some exceptions to this that the more knowledgable will happily point out.

Assuming that you used Paladin Shield for reaching that 128 Mblock, the only attack that could harm you are:

GrandTrain, Delta Hit, Goner, Soul Out, Cold Dust, Hyperdrive, Meteor, Ultima, Quasar, Love Token, Shimsham (surprised? It's unblockable), Step Mine, Blow Fish, Overcast, Phantasm, Joker Doom, Condemned, Roulette, Exploder, Leve 3 Muddle, Level 4 Flare, Leve 5 Doom, Rage, Lode Stone, Snowball, Revenge, Items used by monsters via Throw (Shuriken, etc.), Evil Claw(Special), Demon Rage (Special), Eraser (Special).

And if we take characters under Confuse in account:

All desperation attacks (not sure if they're used under Confuse, though), Fight command using Illumina, Drill, Chain Saw, Air Anchor, AutoCrossbow, (Flash aborts on characters) Pummel, Suplex, Bum Rush, All SwdTech skills except for Retort, GP Rain, Land Slide, Wombat, Whump, Sonic Boom, Cave In

Edited in the Special attacks.
