This is one of my old 'manequin' sketches that I finally drew Locke over. Pure boredom dudes. Pure boredom.

Thanks Kamster and Fig Leaf. The comments are much appreciated. I've been sketching a bit more lately thank god and maybe eventually I'll even have time to start cg'ing again. Till then, here's a Eddie going all action out w/ a spear.

Both very nice! Maybe putting a dagger in Locke's (from his perspective) left hand would enhance the movement even more...you'd think he is about to create a massive vertical slash at some enemy.

How about a karate-kicking Sabin? A nice tiger-like Aura around him...TigerBreak!

Both are very nice NW. I like the "Eddy" one especially, just because I love shots like that, where it feels like they're coming down at you, ready to slash you to bits, and really, the world is lacking some good slashing these days.

The Locke - running sketch is pretty cool, kinna like a desperation sprint into nothing sort of feel. Pretty good indeed, considering it's just drawn over a mannequin, out of pure boredom. Keep it up man, hope to see more smile.gif

Don't worry Fig leaf, ya guessed right. Iz just Gau being his weird self.
Here's a Celes one. I think this is the first time I've ever drawn her in the 'sprite' costume. Frankly, I find the thing rediculous. A general of an imperial army wearing a green swimsuit with football shoulderpads? C'mon!

Er... I mean, really cool. I actually like her costume; it's very original. Looks good, and I really hope you decide to CG them.

Hah! Show me one female, eightteen-year old general out of our history who hasn't worn a green swiimsuit with football shoulderpads. See? They never not wear them.

At any rate, it's great. I'd suggest you suggestions, but you'll be able to come up with your own, no doubt.

And also impractical. Poisoned Arrows, Guns, Thisles, all cause major pain or death in the legs. and low armours never smart on a battlefield...its a wonder she aint dead before you meet her!

There haven't been any. Joan of Arc wore a blue swimsuit... and every other one since then was a Colonel...

Jokes and all otiy toity i-know-more-about-the-army-than-you mentality aside, lets get commenting!

Runnign Locke: very cool. very good movment
Edgar one: the same as the Locke one.
Gau one: Gau doing a somersault? neat drawing, neat idea, and also, good expession of the movement
celes one: Daft equioment aside, a very nice drawing. I notice how its more static than the others. Possibly because shes thinking things through whilst Locke's runnign away with the enemys wallet, Edgars just charging in, and Gau's... being Gau?

Locke - Fun and exciting, but I always imagine Locke less menu-screenish and more sprite-ish.

Sabin - HYA!

Gau - Cool... and what rage do you think he would do to get all acrobatic?

Celes - If she had her cape, then the outfit would look cool... but still impractical, and still sexy, and a nice sketch either way.

One thing about Gau, this is alittle off-topic but, why/how is he supposed to have fangs and claws and fur? I know the wild boy thing, but he's not REALLY a beast. I've just seen a whole lot of fanart where he looks like that.

Okay, I give in, but not completely. Simply put, I've lost my touch and my time. I can't rub these things out anymore as fast as I'd like. So I'll ink 'em and if anyone else wants to color 'em, by all means knock yourselves out. Here's the first ink of the first pic.

I love those Arabian looking guys. You need to draw some with scimitars. That is [after all] the perfect weapon for a guy like that.
