what is your favorite materia for ffvii. add it here.

here's mine:

You will require a lot of slots, so use your Ultimate Weapons and a good armor.

In the slots you want:

HP Plus (if required),
Mega All,
Mime,
Master Command,
W-Summon,
W-Magic,
*Final Attack -> Phoenix,
*MP Turbo -> Knights of the Round,
*HP Absorb -> Master Summon,
*Master Magic -> Quadra Magic


* a -> indicate linked materia

Mime is part of the Master Command Materia so there really isn't any point in using it seperate... as for my favorite I don't know...usually when I get it though I put a mega ll on all characters, and Hp and Mp Plus to all characters,then I link a mastered Phoenix to Final Attack, 4X Cut,W-Summon,W-Magic,W-Item, Master Command, Master Summons and Master Magic to all characters. This takes awhile to acheive the materia to make this combination on all characters but it makes the WEAPONs real pushovers.

I loved that combo ... especially since there all mastered

how bout this:

top: counter-> mime, counter -> mime, counter-> mime
bottom: counter-> mime, counter -> mime, counter-> mime

go into emerald battle with this combo. let him attack with Emerald Shoot. heal everyone. use Omnislash(btw, this combo is one Clowd). wait for him to attack again and u will counterattack with 8 omnislashes. also, make sure someone has Final Attack-> Phoenix. this combo will take forever to set up. also, you can try it with Knights of the round but be prepared to build a friggin ark. you'll get it done before all 8 KOTR get done.

I like a ,ateria combo I have for Cloud (Level 99) he has Dbl Cut Materia (4X-Cut) with 9999 Hp do to HP plus, then I give him counterattack materia, to counter 4 times, and at 9999 damage, enemys are killid in seconds. Also I give him a few other things. Heh, I havent played FF7 in a while.

Using the best weapon and the Wizard Bracelet, which each have 8 linked slots (linked Materia indicated by = sign):

1. Master Command
2. Master Magic
3. Master Summon
4. Mega All
5. Double Cut
6. W-Magic
7. W-Summon
8. W-Item
9. HP Plus
10. MP Plus
11-12. Final Attack = Revive
13-14. Magic Counter = Ultima
15-16. Quadra Magic = Knights of the Round

Hence the Materia system makes FF7 easy in many ways.
