Im not sure I liked all of the seris but i never really liked Everquest though.

Wow is that ever a limited poll. Where's Zelda, Warcraft, Descent, Gran Turismo, Mario, Sonic, Need For Speed, the Tycoon series, Mega Man, etc? Oh well, I voted other. It's really hard to decide but I'm going to say Descent. That series simply provided the best online multiplayer experience to date and single player is a blast for newbs.
 The FF series may have a couple of great games but 3 decent games out of 11 isn't very impressive. Kudos to all the series I mentioned above, though the only strong ones remaining are Gran Turismo, Warcraft, Need For Speed and the Tycoon series. I'm hesitant to say I have a favorite, since there're ups and downs in every series, but here are some that I especially like, along with some of the best games in the series:
Final Fantasy (FF4,5,6,7) Mega Man (MM3, MM4, MM5, MM6, MMX, MMX2, MMX3) Mario (SMB1, SMBLL, SMB2, SMB3, SMW, SMW2, SMRPG (SMW3), SMK, SML2, SML3) Pokemon (RBY, GSC, TCG) Metroid (Metroid, Super Metroid, Metroid Fusion) -------------------- Check the "What games are you playing at the moment?" thread for updates on what I've been playing. The three that I've followed most religiously since the first game are Final Fantasy, Mega Man, and Castlevania. Would have been Mario also but I fell off the bandwagon after Super Mario Land.

Well of courese I would have to say the FF series (of course we are on CoN so that's a given) ummm....Castlevania,Mario,Tom Clancy games,Dragon Ball Z (for GBA)I loved all the Donkey Kongs,uhhh....I like basically any kind of Bemani Game (DDR IIDX,all that).I'll edit with the rest later if I think of any new.

Final Fantasy, Gran Turismo, Street Fighter, Twisted Metal (1+2+black only), Tony Hawk Pro Skater. All these series are series that I believe are the best in their respective genres.

'series' and not 'game'? too much to consider my brain hurts (from over analyzing a post on a RPG message board - jeez, I'm supposed to be at work!) My favorite series are as follows:
Baldur's Gate series. I've said this quite a few times, but I will say it again. It's one of the best (imo THE best) D&D RPG experiences to be had. Excellent plots in every installment, a wonderful variety of characters and enemies, and one of the best end-game finishers ever. Possible spoilers: highlight to view After remaining the only Spawn of Bhaal, (since you destroyed all that was left) you have become arguably the most powerful person in existence. You can use this power and opt to be a god and duke it out with other gods to decide the fate of mortals all on a whim. The WarCraft series. It's come a long way over the period of around ten years. It got me started into online gaming, and has continued to enthrall me with each new installment. And the opening cinematic featuring Illidan in the Frozen Throne expansion was sweet. Illidan is awesome. The Myst series (Myst, Riven, Exile, Uru), the Marathon series, the Thief series, and the Diablo series are all honorable mentions. I'm not as big on the console as much as I am on computer games unlike most of the people here. I don't consider the Final Fantasy games a series since I personally consider series to be a continuation of a story, which Final Fantasy does not have. |

Aside from the FF series, I'd have to say the Suikoden series. Every single game is a materpiece, and the transition to 3D was one of the best I've seen. Suikoden IV looks friggin amazing...I'm drooling right now thinking about it.
