O-k, in my favorite boss thread I've heard many people say "The Dragons" however there are EIGHT of these so I wish to make a poll for these people (others are welcome to respond and vote) which dragon is your favorite?  My fav was the White, he was kinda hard with only magic (providing that you do not use Wall Rings)

Storm dragon.  He's the toughest dragon to beat, considering he's typically the first you face, and he's one of the few enemies in the game that uses Wind elemental attacks.  And let's face it, Aero is just plain cool.

I picked Blue Dragon from the Ancient Castle. I remember him being cool-looking.

Zed, the reason I didn't put that one on was because he wasn't one of the 8 standard dragons, I've never faced him, people might think "wow! I've never fought it so it MUST be the best"

but does CzarDragon count as eight mystic (eh? mystic? am i using right word here?) most times in FFVI, if you hear about people talking about FFVI, they say "the eight dragon, phunna, and doom gaze" not to mention anything about CzarDragon. Maybe Squaresoft made CzarDragon as a secret boss, but noticed later they have no space in the game to put in on (not memorizes, but storylines) like secret units in SC, you can't get them out w/o hacks.

The point is, i don't think those 8 dragons has anything to do with Czar DRagon...exept the fact they are all dragons :p

Red Dragon.

I remember having a very difficult time fighting him. Southern Cross and Flare are deadly.

Storm was the hardest to beat, but Dirt gets my vote easy simply because of the opera house.  That was my favorite area in the whole game and the chance to go back on stage...oh hell yeah!  Too bad it was a one shot deal...

I think Dirt was the hardest(unless you were cheap and used 4 cherub downs(which I used to do)) but that's because I never go to Mt. Kolts right away, I usually put it off for awhile, since I don't really like Cyan.

I also voted for the Dirt Dragon.  That was a fun fight because, as Gears suggested, it's much more difficult if you don't equip Cherub Down.  And if any of you have read my FF6 Challenge thread, then you should know that I like challenge. :)

Why block it when you can just absorb it?  Go Gaia Gear!

Anyway, Storm in the most powerful, because it is annoyingly the toughest of all of them, and the first you should stumble upon.  However, I always liked the doom dragon appearance of the blue dragon, and not like it's too bad, it just has nothing on the Katana Soul.

I thought Storm was the absolute hardest (I made the dumb mistake of giving Cyan an Ice Shield... so long to him). But I like the White Dragon in the Fanatic's Tower because you couldn't beat the stuffing out of him with weapons, and he really didn't have any magic weakness. It was kinda' like a pure magic fight. No having to worry about the 5 billion damage he would dish out in the next round.

I didn't have much trouble with the Dragons, because I refused to fight them the first time I went through their respective dungeons (excluding, of course, the Dragons in Kefka's Tower and the Tower of Fanatics).  Some time afterward, I went on a Dragon-hunting spree, mercilessly slaying all of the Dragons with veritable ease after levelling up to demigod proportions.  Almost all of them were a breeze.

I say "almost" because of the Dirt Dragon.  Earth-elemental or not, his Quake spells were a thing to be feared.  I managed to Float all of my characters, and he was still really hard.  He's blindingly fast, and his massive physical attacks can knock out your party members in a single blow.  Not to mention the Opera House was a neat battleground.

I voted for the Red Dragon simply because he looked the best, in my opinion.  I don't remember having a difficult time with any of the dragons, so I had to go by looks.

That lousy Storm Dragon?! He always gives me a tough battle cause he is the first dragon I usually face so I am not that high in levels. All the dragons are easy though if you use the time-tested Vanish-Doom(X-Doom) trick, of course, but where is the fun in that?

I found the Dirt quite easy, even without the Cherub Downs.  I just cast Float on group each round with Mog, and he'd waste his attack on 40G to ground them, while the rest of my group pounded him into the dirt.   ^_^   He got of a quake once, cause I acted to slow, but I was fine the rest of the battle.

Anywho, I voted for Dirt Dragon anyway, just cause he's cool

Dirt Dragon. IMO he was the most annoying (no Chreub Downs for me) The Opera House was a good place to battle.

my fav was the red dragon, because it looked cool, but those kinds all looked the same.

the hardest one i could say was the ice dragon. all of the other dragons were easy to beat. but the ice one kept cheating with the ice thing.

The reason I voted for the Ice Dragon at the snowfields by Narshe was because I liked the fact that there was no music during the battle. All you hear is the gloomy sound of the world of ruin. Also, all magic sounds and flighting sounds produced a loud echo.
So all this really gave an eery feeling to the whole battle.

I voted for the blue dragon cause it looked awsome, and a bit difficult to beat. The hardest one, however would be the Storm dragon. I think someone already said that, but its true!

I liked the Earth Dragon, mainly because you can just float all your characters and kill it without taking much damage. Then you can wear those Gaia armor and absorb all his attacks. He's a Tyrannosauras Rex too, what else could you want?
