FFX Bug?!?!?!

Hey all, this is my first time playing through FFX and I have found myself in a most disturbing position. I am at the beginning of the game where I must fight Kimahri on the way to the pier from Wakka's village (after Lulu's black magic tutorial against the flan).
However, when I try to walk past the first fallen pillar the game ALWAYS freezes and starts playing the more serious (I suppose) music to indicate that SOMETHING must be happening. The grass keeps moving, but the game freezes completely. Is this a well known bug? Is there something I can do to go around this? -------------------- Je ne t'aime plus, Mon amour... I've never heard of it...I know plenty of people that have beat FFX...I have played most of the way through it but could never make myself finish. When I got to that part nothing like that happened so maybe you should have your disk resurfaced or cleaned.

Definatly sounds like your game is scratched or something, hope you saved the reciept.

the game must have a scratch, I've played it through twice with no problems, but when I sratched my copy of FFVII the game froze at cloud & aeris' gold saucer ride.

I had a bug where in battle you could not see aurons sword.......kinda of funny really but for the most part better get a better copy of the game or try to clean it

I had a bug in FFVII on where it would freeze up in FMV's, but it was a burned copy my friend made me, because my FFVII disc 3 was in need off being cleaned.

Ive never had problems with FFX. Most likely ure disk is got a major scratch in it.

I know that happened to me too!!!! First it stopped my ride on the gondola of Tifa. And when you have a date with Y, B, A, or T I went to the ropeway station the guy that works at gold saucer he said something the music just constantly stays on the beat forever!!! i think the music is spose to change for an fmv.. so maybe you're copy is scratched or something..cause it doesn't happen on my firends copy.
