I have a character who has 85 Faith and I'm getting the game's cute warning messages about her.
I'm remember reading something related to Faith and Brave limits before, but I can find it.
Does anyone know?

I think the higher your faith the less chance of finding items with the move/find item skill and with brave i think that the more brave you have the less damage youll take from magic attacks. I might have them mixed up but i know they have to do with that. sleep.gif

I get it. I've read both those threads. And both of them refer to a max Faith of 94, which is what I was thinking, hence my confusion about a Faith of 85. So, still, my question is why the warnings?

You might want to check the links right above your post, Gogo. It is clear that you have it wrong.

About the warning messages, I wouldn't know, Terra. The only message I remember is a leave message from a unit with low Brave.
Could you possibly write down the message you got (or try to remember it, if you can't have access to it) ?

Brave Limits:
06 - 97

Faith Limits:
03 - 94

Any (permanent?) Brave level less than 6 at the end of a battle will cause that character to leave. The same goes for Faith over 94. Any warnings you get are just warnings and will not cause your character(s) to leave. I think they're probably there just to let you know that you shouldn't lower/raise your character's Brave/Faith too much more. Ramza and Guests will never leave.

As for what Brave and Faith do, there are several things:

Brave affects whether most reaction abilities will occur or not, and I believe it affects Knight Sword attacks. It is also a determining factor in the attack of monsters. As for Move-Find Item, the lower the brave, the better the chance of finding the rare item. Also, the lower Rafa's Brave is, the more damage her Truth skills deal.

Faith affects magic. The higher your faith, the more damage you deal with attack spells and the better the chance of hitting with/being hit by a status spell. Faith also affects the damage that magic guns deal. Also, the lower Malak's Faith is, the more damage his Un-Truth skills deal.

I dont remember the warnings verbatim but the first one was like "I dont know why I'm fighting, I dont want to change the world alone" and the second one was like "Loveing God is way cooler than fighting"

Thanks for the info sbq. Do you happen to know how many warnings there are?

Do you mean how many different ones are there, or how many until the character leaves? I don't know how many variations there are, but I know that the warnings will never accumulate to a point where your character just leaves. Their Brave/Faith levels have to be at the extreme levels in order for them to leave.

Warnings will occur if you have high Faith, but will not have any actual adverse affect. I recommend the Brave/Faith FAQ on GameFAQs (www.gamefaqs.com) for more information.

Conversely, warnings will also appear if you have low Brave.

Hey, does anyone know if the special characters will leave your party because of Brave/Faith? Somebody said that Ramza won't, but what about, say, Rafa?

Any character who has joined your party as a permanent member can leave for low Brave, IIRC.

Yes, any party member except Ramza or guests will leave as a result of low Brave/high Faith.

Does this mean that you can get permanent 97 Faith, as opposed to 94, with Ramza?

The warnings are a cute way of telling you that they will have too much faith in god and wont do very good physical damage.

sbq_92: Yes, you can get 97 Faith with Ramza.

Ramza_Orlandu: No, Faith does not affect physical damage in any way.
