Wow...there are a thousand members at CoN now...this is probably a big deal to alot of you oldbies here at CoN and I'm sure the mods feel happy to have come up with such a good site as CoN...I just wanted to say congrats to you all for making such a great site.

Can't believe we passed the 1000 user mark, and i accidentialy made a topic for it, just didn't know which forum it was in.

That's alot of users! Most of them (or half of them) are Returner ranks too.

Hahaha so 1000 registered members ey? Maybe a small fraction out of that even bother to post, and even fewer of that have anything worth saying, but still, Congrats guys, I know these forums are a pain in the ass to maintain, but you've gotta be proud one way or another, seeing that you've come this far.

Lately, it seems like there has been an influx of new users. Quantity over Quality I'd say. Improve the quality of the noob, like maybe learning how to spell, or sticking to one language, or saying something actually useful would do wonders.

Ah well, I'm still glad to see the forums gain so many members. I remember when the number wasn't even half of 1000, and still only a fraction of that posted and played any role in this forum's society. Still, despite it all, this is probably the most organized forum around. Here's to the CoN.

1,000 members is pretty good for a niche SNES FF forum. Considering that a typical baseball stadium holds 40,000, we're a sad little group of people. Still, it's a good accomplishment considering the scope of the forums. Congrats.

On such an auspicious occasion, let me say thanks to all of you members who have made good contributions to the community. I know that's not all of you reading this, and it certainly doesn't add up to 1000. But each of you who post thoughtful and intelligent responses have my gratitude, even if you say things I don't agree with sometimes.

I would go through and thank individual members too, but that would take forever. You people who have been posting here since 2001, thanks for staying around. You people who have joined more recently, here's hoping you have the staying power of our oldest members and staffers who have been here even longer.

Now, on that note, since we are growing in such ways, can we quit referring to this site as "niche" or "primarily FF6" or "dedicated only to the old games"? We're not really a niche anymore, and we're certainly not primarily FF6 anymore. Maybe FFT is a bit old now, too, but it IS PSX, for crying out loud. We just know good games when we see them.

lol i may not be the brightest crayon in the box, but sometimes I get some good ideas for a post... i may only have joined within the last 6 months and I may not be on everyday... but this is the message board i shall keep coming back to...
