Actually, concerning Barret's (and Dyne's) gun arm, I wonder how he gets a seemingly infinite amount of bullets.

I definitely think that the weirdest weapons have got to be the bells from FF5, which I see as more or less useless.

If it's true that Bags cause good Status effects including Regen, they could be quite useful. You could always "attack" a team member instead, or use it against zombie-type enemies. Garnet and Eiko from FF9 as well had special "Healer" abilities that would heal whoever they physically attacked. In addition, I believe that using healing magic such as Cure and etcetera would actually harm zombies, a fact that makes sense when you think about it but nevertheless still manages to amuse me greatly. "Here let me heal you whoops...you died...my bad
![]() It wasn't called "Special Magic" in FF9, it was called Special FX. It was only available during the start of the game, because they were in a play and they were acting things out, so you just used them for special effects and amuse yourself with their complete uselessness asides from their aesthetic appeal. As for most absurd weapon, I would have to agree that Lulu's stuffed animals went beyond absurd. I loved using the cait sith doll and see that tiny little thing wobble up to an enemy and give it a pathetic smack, and the enemy would just fall down and die. Incredibly absurd, but I loved them. Does it really matter? What would a good Final Fantasy game be without those seemingly impossilbe weapons? Setzer Gabbiani uses Cards, Darts and Dice and we all love him for it.
It's not even just weapons. I can instantly come up with an attack called 'Carrot', 'Sneeze' and 'Icky Sticky Goo'. Not to mention wind-elemental attacks in general. But to return to the topic: Brushes. Relm's brushes. I mean, 'tare brushes, people. -------------------- |

Also, when my brother holds a card ready to fling, people scatter. Darts are weapons, duh. And have you ever been beaned in the head with dice? That hurts! -------------------- My second daughter, if we have girls, will be named Rikku. I'm not kidding. |

Well, not as much as the Dice and the Fixed Dice can deal. While you can BOK! someone on the head with dice, it doesn't really matter how much you roll; you still do about the same amount of "damage", which isn't much anyways.

I know that sound, when either ultra-high, -low, or -loud, and do SEVERE damage to internal organs by shattering bones, eardruns, etc. The victim hemorrages to death. Books can be used as either. A- Clubs or B- the text is in ceratin sequences and patterns that stimulates brain waves to hurt. The only absurd weapon is... the double-sided sword. The balance makes it almost completely unusable.... <===||---||===> = no good.

A double-sided sword actually would be a more logical weapon to use, though, since if you can wield it with one hand, and leave the other free for defense, defense by shield, or another weapon (since it's probably pretty hard to switch the double sword between the hands unless you make the hilt twice the length of a normal sword's hilt). It would require training much different from that for a single-sided sword, but it wouldn't at all be impossible. Think of holding the double sword in front of yourself, at end of your outstretched arm and perpendicular to it, and twirling it on the axis of your arm.

i have tried it on my brother and books are very effective to wack things with. mops are also fun. now paint brushes are deadly projectiles if thrown at a distance. megaphones and bells are used to make "enemys" go nuts. now cloth is fun to make your enemys smother.

I've seen this double-sided sword called a "swallow" in Chrono Cross. To be honest, it's effective. The weight of the weapon balances in your hand, giving you excellent control.

Final Fantasy Tactics had books with odd ranges, and I loved it! Sometimes you just end up mis-moving and a dictionary can save you. Once you get good at it, you don't even have to shadow-place the cursor to find where you should move; that's awesome.
The only weapon I can say I didn't like (and I like most weapons, diverse as they may be) was Lulu's weapons. Sure, you often find them with status effects, but they often miss and it's not practical to level up her strength early on (when attacking is more important) when she obviously excels at magic. The Onion Knight rocked though, I'll say that much. -------------------- It's gonna be a glorious day I feel my luck can change |

A absurd weapon(s) are the soul weapons from FFTA to use on the Morpher Job, they are powerful, but weird.

If you are talking about that thing Zidane uses 1) It's not really two swords 2) There are actual weapons like that. -------------------- "I had to write four novels before they let me write comic books." -Brad Meltzer |
